Certain spiritual victories are obtained by personal defeats

Jeremiah 18: 1-9
18 The word of Jehovah that came to Jeremiah, saying:
2 Arise and go to the potter's house, and there I will make you hear my words.
3 And I went down to the potter's house, and behold, he was working on the wheel.
4 And the clay pot that he made was spoiled in his hand; and he returned and made another vessel, as it seemed better to him to make it.
5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
6 Can I not make you like this potter, O house of Israel? says Jehovah. Behold, as the clay in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.
7 In an instant I will speak against peoples and against kingdoms, to pluck, and to overthrow, and to destroy.
8 But if those peoples turn from their evil against which I spoke, I will repent of the evil that I had thought to do to them,
9 and in a moment I will speak of the people and the kingdom, to build and to plant.

Sometimes we have to reflect on the role of the potter in our lives and go from time to time to visualize what the potter really does and we can notice in the pointed verses that Jeremiah visits the potter's house at the request of God and really God sends him there so that you realize that the potter occasionally rejects a pot due to its poor quality of clay; What God does with His people depends on how they respond to the divine call.

Like the clay in the potter's hand, we are also in the hands of God since many times the clay can disappoint the potter's intentions, which can force him to undo the pot and do it again because the clay is not suitable for making that quality pot that he wants to make, however, just as the quality of the clay limits what the potter can create, on the quality of the people depends what God can do with it.

There are situations in our lives that do not please God and that deserve to be rejected by him, this does not mean that we are not going to move forward to obtain better opportunities, rather it leads us to reflect and motivate ourselves to go looking for them through the presence of God.

As Christians we must be shaped by God and always ready to submit to God's commandments and try to do God's will and not ours.

Our decisions must all be attached to the divine will which must exemplify our moldability in the hands of God.

therefore we should not grieve when we suffer defeats because surely from them we will have the best victories
