Knowing the evil one
Isaiah 14:12, How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning, how you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations.
In my language there is popular song that kids use to sing at church which goes like they stepping on the devil, and that they jump higher and higher and step on the devil. Well, as kids we didn't understand much and so it is allowed but looking at things now i just smile.
Well as sons and daughters of the most high we are protected by the power of the Almighty and may be out of reach of the devil but we can hardly literally step on the devil. Anyway many Christians underestimate the power the devil holds and end up falling prey to his traps.
Just so you know, the devil also known as Satan now was once Lucifer which means morning star, and he was not just any angel at all, he was a high ranked one who had access to things other angels probably didn't and was that close to the throne and so certainly he knew things and had great power and whiles he may have been cut down it does not mean he no longer has power or that knowledge.
Which is why the devil knows man so well that he is able to guess right what is going on inside our heads without needing to have access to our thoughts or prayers. But then if we do not underestimate him and we work tireless as we ought to which is what Christ urged us to do when he said we should pray without ceasing then we will certainly win the battle and the war against the forces of darkness.
And so i leave with this, know the evil one as he knows you that you may be able to avoid him much better and escape his ways. Have a great week and thanks for reading.
