Dealing with our Weaknesses

Matthew 5:29; and if your right eye offends you, pull it out and throw it away from you for it profitable for a man that one of his parts to perish and not have the whole body thrown in to hell.

We all have issues, if you didn't some would say you are not human, or perhaps you are indeed a saint among men or perhaps an Angel in a human body however you want to put it or imagine it.

But i like this quote very much although i do not know from whom it is from, it says an unexamined life is not worth living. In high school every evening the siren would tell us this before lights out in preparation for the day ahead.

And this is what i got from it, examining my weaknesses and shortcomings for the day that is about to end and planning on how much i could do better and probably turn things around for myself the next day. And i must say it did help me a lot.

Many of us are afraid to deal with their weaknesses, we are afraid to confront them because our weaknesses makes us feel like we are not in control. For most Christians our shortcomings may make us feel more guilty and more or less a sinner who is unworthy of salvation or the Kingdom of Heaven.

But this is what i want to leave you with, if you ever feel this way remember that the Lord said he came not for the saved but to save the condemn. After that remember my favorite quote and know that so long as you persist to want to change a situation or turn things around eventually you will get things done and you will be proud that you did.

Have a Blessed Week and thanks for reading.
