WE RUN THE RACE WITH PATIENCE
The heroes of the faith that we find in the Bible are our witnesses after being victorious that our walk in Jesus Christ runs with patience, because really our Christian lives can be compared to a career.
Remember that the race is a march quickly that everyone wants to reach but in the middle of it any adversity can occur.
In this sense the Bible advises us through the apostle Paul the following:
Hebrews 12: 1-2
We run with patience the race that lies ahead, our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of the faith, who for the joy set before him suffered the cross, belittling the reproach, and sat at the right hand of the throne of God.
(LBDA).
Life is full of adversities and we need to walk with firmness and divine wisdom directed at Jesus Christ who suffered all kinds of offenses for us so that we can emerge victorious from our Christian career in this world.
Sometimes we cannot advance in our walk because we need to shed the old man who is vitiated in us and we urgently need to renew our mind and avoid all forms of sin.
Sin is a serious burden that becomes very heavy and we can not drag so what besieges us to be victorious in the race ahead.
We must take into account that many try to run to win a race but only the one who takes the prize wins.
1 Corinthians 9:24
Don't you know that those who run in the stadium, everyone really runs, but {only} one gets the prize? Run in such a way that you win.
(New American Standard)
However, the call is not to run for a run without the intention of winning, the purpose should be to take the prize in the race we have fought to obtain.
So if we are in Christ, we must try to obtain the prize by continuing forward to the supreme call of the author and finisher of the faith by running well so that no one prevents us from running in the truth.
Philippians 3:14
I continue towards the goal to obtain the prize of the supreme call of God in Christ Jesus.
The truth is in Jesus Christ and the race is our Christian life which we must run patiently until we get our prize that is eternal life.
