Understanding The Character Of God.
Hebrew 1:1- 3 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;.
God in time past, uses tides and shadow to speak to our father of old. They couldn't have total information about the person, character and the nature of God.
The whole announcement of the prophet of old was about the son the messiah.
Only Jesus can reveal God outside Jesus, you can't see God. Whatever you don't see in Jesus is not worth seeing both in action.
One of the greatest problem of Man on earth is for man to know God and this is the reason why God became man in order for man to relate with him. You can ignore Christ and aim to know God. To know God, you must know Jesus. For you can only find God in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the complete revelation of God. Jesus is the visible of the invisible beings. Meaning that Christ is the brightness of God being.
In the character of God, there's nothing like destruction. God's power is not reveal in destruction. His character is to save. God is love, merciful, favour, life and kind. Paul the apostles of God wrote on the power of God in.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The power of God is seen within the framework of salvation. His power was to save man from sin which was destruction of man.
If it is not saving, it is not God our God is constantly good and ever ready to save not to destroy. God has been good even before man become man. So as a believer you should know what the power of God can do and what his power can't do.
God do not have dual identity, God is God and good all the time.
I am the son of God because of the indwelling spirit of God. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
God sent the spirit of his son into us this is why there is no different between you and Christ. What ever he sees in Christ is what he see in you. Jesus is the comprehensive revelation of God. The moment you see Jesus, there is nothing of God that is hidden any longer. Jesus didn't come to reveal, explain, or unveil God rather Jesus is God himself.
God dose not disqualify any body including those who really hate him. He correct them not by finding fault he correct by teaching them faith.
God sees every one that received Christ by faith. God is light in him there is no darkness at all. This is the gospel we preach. God is single minded. Jesus is God in human flesh.
When you are tempted, don't say you are tempted by God for God does not find fault. Temptation is from man God does not punish any one rather God is love, kind and merciful he does not find fault. This is the character of God any thing outside this is not God character.
Know this, you are love by God. enjoy this unconditional love of God.
