DEVOTION TODAY: THE SUDDEN ARRIVAL

Matthew 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

The servant was busy eating and drinking in the midst of plenty. He never cared about keeping a healthy communication with the Master. His stomach was more important than his destiny. Suddenly, the Master arrived and caught him unawares. He caught him beating up the servants under him. He caught him being arrogant to everyone around and reminding them that he's in charge, not the Master. He caught him in the grips of vain glory.

Just as the Master of that servant came back unexpectedly, Jesus shall come back for the fruits of righteousness in us and for us. Will He find us taking care of the gift He gave us,in absolute humility, goodness and love? How are we relating with the people He gave us? Where is the love He deposited in us? Are we still talking to Him even when He seems to be in a journey far from us?

Jesus will come again! The date is unknown, thus the need to live right at all times.*

Let's pray together.

Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us the opportunity to have eternity with you. Please help us to live in righteousness and holiness, that we may reign with Christ, in Jesus name. Amen.
