DEVOTION TODAY: CONTINUE THE DIVINE COMMUNICATION

Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Prayer is an attitude of speaking with the Almighty God in words and thoughts, which is a lifestyle for all believers in Christ. Thus, to pray is not optional, but a necessity. Analogically, we understand how demeaning it is for a son to stop talking to his biological father. As limited as the earthly father is, lack of communication with him is highly detrimental to the son's welfare, happiness and future. To an unlimited heavenly Father, one who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all imaginations, talking to Him is of eternal benefits.

Brethren, prayers are seeds that prepares the way for our greatness even when we feel we don't need it. Thus, in order to keep the relationship in Christ, we must continue in prayers. We shouldn't pray when things are tough or when we feel like. We should pray without ceasing(1Ther.5:17). Don't stop praying because it didn't work out, pray because you need to talk to your Father, your source of life and your eternity giver.

While praying, we should watchfully thank God in the process. The process might not be easy or promising, but we must thank Him for the opportunity to witness the storms. Life is not about the good days, but a combination of every situation which bring us to the realization that only God can decide our destinies. God has done it and He'll do it again.

Dear Father, thank you for your mercy and love upon us. We trust you with our lives, please empower us to pray without ceasing, in Jesus name. Amen.
