Proverbs 3:1-12 KJV
[1] My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: [2] For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. [3] Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: [4] So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. [5] Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. [7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord , and depart from evil. [8] It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. [9] Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: [10] So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. [11] My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord ; neither be weary of his correction: [12] For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

One of the priorities of Christians should be trusting God. We need to trust God in all areas of our life. The main key of service to His Holy name is to honour God. The Word of the Lord says, “Acknowledge Him.” We need to serve God with a faithful and willing heart and be mindful of Him.

In making your path straight, you need to trust the Lord. All obstacles on your pathway will be removed by Him and He will bring you to your expected end.

Trusting in the Lord and not relying on one’s own understanding will lead to experiencing God’s guidance, for He will make your path straight. The passage above says it once ad for all. It is trusting in the Lord that will bring wholeness and fulfilment in life not a person’s trust in his or her ability and resources.

We have been asked to honour God with our wealth and with the first fruit of all our crops. The Lord disciplines those He loves and as Christians, we should accept the discipline and not resent His rebuke. Some people trust in positions, some trust in people, some other trust in other small gods, but we, the Christians are instructed to trust only in the Lord and honour Him alone.

Those who trust in the Lord are always at the safer side. Human trust is vanity. When you trust only in the Lord, the result is longevity and prosperity.
May the Lord help us to be able to trust in Him today and always. Amen

Thanks for Dropping By !
