The satisfaction is that men show mercy; But the poor man is better than the liar.

Without a doubt, doing charitable work leads us to show compassionate love for others. However, I know many people who are motivated to offer help to the most disadvantaged, but when you observe the lives of these people, they serve God in their own way and not as God commands in his word.

When we do works of charity, this certainly produces joy in our hearts, but this does not mean that with our works we will reach salvation.

Similarly, I know other types of people, who are materially poor, but who live a life of fear of God. They are people who know that God is as real as looking at the sky or something tangible. People who lead a life of faith and trust in God despite not having great assets. This reminds me of the life of Lazarus and the rich man, Lazarus was poor, but God-fearing, so much so that on the day of his death the angels came for him.

Lazarus was poor, he had no assets in this world, but he led a sincere and God-fearing life.

We don't have to be fooled by appearances. The poor in spirit are blessed and his is the kingdom of heaven. We have to be godly, but we need the compassionate love that comes from God to help others. Mercy alone does not save, even if we do great jobs. Piety accompanied by the love that comes from God guarantees the greatest wealth of the source of happiness that is in Christ.

The practice of mercy produces joy in men, however, God is pleased that man understands that he needs God to show true love for others.
