Reflections of life: May the sayings of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to God || @elpastor

Taking good care of what we speak is very important when it comes to receiving something we expect from God. In the stormy times of life, words are relevant to both our actions and the results that come from them. At all times, what comes out of our mouth and heart must be words of praise, regardless of the difficult circumstances we may face. Our words must please God, even the thoughts of our hearts must be based on the confidence that God will always work in our favor.

Be pleased the sayings of my mouth and the meditation of my heart before you,
O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.
Psalms 19:14 King James Version (RVR1960)

Psalm 19 was inspired by King David, a man who had experienced numerous persecutions and death threats from both King Saul and his son Absalom. However, David was always careful to speak words that magnified the glory and power of God. Despite Saul's death threats, David was careful to speak well before Jehovah, and even on two occasions David had the occasion to kill Saul at the mouth of a cave, and David refused to do so because he recognized that Saul he had been placed by God on the throne of Israel.

The thoughts or meditation of David's heart always allowed God to take revenge on his enemies instead of him. David always glorified and praised the name of God. In the adverse circumstances of his life, David did not curse anyone, but always took care to give glory to God. So David said: "Let the sayings of my mouth and the meditation of my heart before you be welcome,
O Jehovah, my rock and my redeemer. ”

We see this same example in the New Testament, where Paul and Silas faced severe persecutions and death dangers because of the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When they entered the city of the Philippians, they had harsh confrontations with many people, so much so, that they turned him over to the city authorities, and beat them with sticks and put them in prison. When we read this story in the book of the Acts of the apostles, we find that the sayings from the mouth of both Paul and Silas were only songs and prayers that exalted the name of our God. Paul and Silas were careful not to curse and blame God for what had happened to them. In the midst of this problem, only chants and expressions of praise and thanks to God came out of their mouths.

25 But at midnight, praying Paul and Silas, they sang hymns to God; and the prisoners heard them. 26 Then suddenly a great earthquake struck, so that the foundations of the prison were shaking; and instantly all the doors were opened, and everyone's chains were released.
Acts 16: 25-26 King James Version (RVR1960)

Finally, dear reader, we cannot deny the time so difficult and complex that we have had to live throughout the world due to the "Covid-19", however, in these circumstances we must declare with our mouth what God says in his word that we can receive by believing.

If God says that no plague will touch our home, that word is so real and true that we believe it and we must declare it before the appearance of the "Coronavirus".

If God says in his word that his angel encamps around us, then we must believe that word and declare that God is with us all our days and that he is our shield around us.

This is the time to declare with your mouth the power and authority of the word of God. If we declare death, death will come, but if we declare life in the midst of the plague we are living, we will receive the life and protection of God.

My Pastor, these words spoken by you are very timely:
"We must declare with our mouth what God says in his word that no plague will touch our home, that word is so real and true that we believe it and we must declare it before the appearance of the Coronavirus."
Let's put our trust and wait on the Lord.
