THE TRUE VALUE OF MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

Welcome to this new post where today I will tell you about my experience celebrating Mother's Day as I answer the questions to the initiative proposed by the Family and Friends community titled "Mother's Day".

WHAT GOOD MEMORIES DO YOU HAVE OF MOTHER'S DAY HOLIDAYS?

Well, to begin with, from my point of view, every year Mother's Day is celebrated in a different way, which makes this date a little more special than ordinary days; even so, I am a supporter that every day we must recognize the role that a mother plays, her dedication to her children, her sacrifice and the great willpower she must have to move forward in the face of adversity to take care of her most loved ones.

Therefore, the best memory of Mother's Day celebration for me was in the year 2022; since my mother was about to undergo a major high-risk operation regarding her health in general and in such a situation, my aunt as a cousin came from a very distant place to give all the moral support as a presence to my mother, thus demonstrating that family love is the strongest.

After the arrival of my aunt and her daughter we decided as a family that the best way to commemorate Mother's Day was to take a walk through one of the most famous parks in the great Caracas, since it was part of one of the activities never done before by my aunt and my cousin, since in the place where they live there is no park or zoo to visit; Therefore, the action of creating unique moments took more and more meaning for me, because I can not always have part or all my family together in one place and much less, the occasions of important celebrations, since my aunt has her own family of 3 daughters and 3 older children who ask for her full attention and affection and in the case of my cousin she must celebrate her mother who is my aunt wherever she is.

For such reasons my memories about mother's day celebration for the year 2022 are the happiest and most meaningful ones I have, as they were unique as unforgettable dates that I will have in my heart as well as in my head and in my phone camera.

IS THERE A FAMILY TRADITION TO CELEBRATE THIS DAY?

There are 3 family traditions that take place on Mother's Day.

• The first one consists of phone calls, that is, my mother starts calling from 6 am to all those friends who are mothers, her co-workers, godmother as well as her sister.

In the same way, she answers and sends congratulatory messages to her other friends.

I as a daughter and friend also try as a personal tradition to send text message or post personalized WhatsApp statuses, congratulating my friends who are mothers like all my cousins.

• In a second place I would say is making breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert to celebrate Mother's Day, since a tasty homemade meal is also a way to show that love we feel towards our mothers.

• Thirdly, there is the making of collages, which my mom makes every year for many celebrations as a way of honoring all the important women in her life, be they cousins, friends, sister, each one with her family circle.

WHAT IS THE BEST GIFT YOU COULD GIVE YOUR MOM?

When I was in 3rd grade of elementary school, the small pink heart was the first Mother's Day gift I was able to give to my mother with the help of the teacher, since it was customary in schools to make something with our own hands to make our mothers proud with a unique gesture.

Then in the second year of high school one of the most memorable gifts was that blue heart with a poem written with my own mothers and for that time I not only made that heart in its entirety, but I also helped to make other hearts for the mothers of my classmates so my mother was very happy for several days after the celebration.

As Mother's Day in Venezuela has already passed, since it was celebrated this past Sunday May 14th, I can tell you that in my mind the best gift for my mom was a bank transfer, but then I realized that the greatest gift I could give her was to help her and give her all my support with her new idea, which was to buy a guinea pig for the family.

And so I did; together we bought all the necessary resources for this new family member, which honestly since he arrived has given nothing but happiness to the house.

Sean bienvenidos a esta nueva publicación donde el día de hoy les hablaré sobre mi experiencia celebrando el día de las madres mientras respondo las preguntas a la iniciativa propuesta por la comunidad de Familia y Amigos titulada "Día de las Madres".

¿QUÉ BUENOS RECUERDOS TIENES DE LAS FESTIVIDADES DEL DÍA DE LA MADRE?

Pues para comenzar desde mi punto de vista cada año el día de las madres se celebra de manera distinta, lo que hace que esta fecha sea un tanto más especial que los días comunes; aun así soy partidaria que cada día se debe reconocer el papel que realiza una madre su dedicación para con sus hijos como el sacrificio y esa gran fuerza de voluntad que deben tener para seguir adelante ante las adversidades para cuidar de sus seres más amados.

Por lo tanto, el mejor recuerdo de celebración del día de las madres para mí fue en el año 2022; puesto que mi madre estaba por ser sometida a una gran operación de alto riesgo con respecto a su salud en general y ante tal situación, mi tía como prima se vinieron desde un lugar muy lejano para darle todo el apoyo moral como presencial a mi madre, demostrando así que el amor familiar es el más fuerte.

Luego de la llegada de mi tía y su hija decidimos como familia que la mejor manera de conmemorar dicho día de las madres era realizando un paseo por uno de los parques más conocidos de la gran Caracas, puesto que formaba parte de una de las actividades nunca antes realizadas por mi tía como mi prima, puesto que en el lugar donde residen no hay parque o zoológico alguno que visitar; por lo cual la acción de crear momentos únicos tomaba cada vez valor significado para mí, pues no siempre puedo tener parte o toda mi familia unida en un solo lugar y mucho menos, el que se den ocasiones de celebraciones importantes, puesto que mi tía tiene su propia familia de 3 hijas y 3 hijos mayores que piden su total atención como cariño y en el caso de mi prima ella debe celebrar a su mamá que es mi tía en donde sea que esté.

Por tales motivos mis recuerdos sobre la celebración del día de la madre para el año 2022 son los más felices y significativos que tengo, ya que fueron fechas únicas como inolvidables que tendré tanto en mi corazón como en mi cabeza y en la cámara de mi teléfono.

¿EXISTE UNA TRADICIÓN FAMILIAR PARA CELEBRAR ESTE DÍA?

Hay 3 tradiciones familiares que se realizan el día de las madres.

• La primera de ellas consiste en las llamadas telefónicas, es decir, mi madre comienza a llamar desde las 6 am a todas aquellas amigas que son madres, a sus compañeras de trabajo, madrina como a su hermana.

De la misma forma, responde y manda mensajes de felicitaciones a sus otros amigos.

Yo como hija y amiga también trato como tradición personal de mandar mensaje de texto o colocar estados de WhatsApp personalizados, felicitando a mis amigas que son madres de familia como a todas mis primas.

• En un segundo lugar diría que está el realizar el desayuno, almuerzo, cena y postre para celebrar el día de las madres, puesto que una rica comida casera también es una forma de demostrar ese amor que sentimos hacia nuestras madres.

• En tercer lugar, está la realización de collages, los cuales mi mamá realiza cada año para muchas celebraciones como una forma de homenajear a todas las mujeres importantes de su vida, sean primas, amigas, hermana, cada una con su círculo familiar.

¿CUÁL ES EL MEJOR REGALO QUE LE PODRÍAS DAR A TU MAMÁ?

Cuando estaba en 3° grado de educación básica, el corazón rosado pequeño fue el primer regalo del día de las madres que le pude dar a mi mamá con ayuda de la profesora, puesto que para dichas fechas era costumbre en los colegios hacer algo con nuestras propias manos para enorgullecer a nuestras madres con un gesto único.

Luego en 2 años de Bachillerato uno de los regalos más memorables fue ese corazón azul donde tiene un poema escrito con mis propias madres y para esa vez no solo realice ese corazón en su totalidad, sino que también ayude a realizar otros corazones para las mamás de mis compañeros por lo cual mi madre estuvo muy feliz por varios días luego de la celebración.

Como ya pasó el día de las madres en Venezuela, ya que se celebró este pasado domingo 14 de mayo les puedo decir que en mí pensar el mejor regalo para mi mamá era una transferencia bancaria, pero luego me di cuenta de que el mayor regalo que le podía dar de mi parte era ayudarla y darle todo mi apoyo con su nueva idea, la cual consistía en comprar una cobaya para la familia.

Y así lo hice; unidas compramos todos los recursos necesarios para este nuevo integrante familiar, el cual sinceramente desde que llegó no ha dado más que qué felicidad a la casa.
