Morning run - Up and over
Today was one of those days when I just felt like going out and running with no real plan. I used by route that goes up the big hill to Fairfield. The weather was good with just a little wind.
As well as the usual dog walkers I saw a group of runners who each had a dog attached to them. I know that Canicross is a fairly big thing. One of those dogs did run at me and bark, but they were going the other way and so were gone in a flash. I do not think there is an equivalent for cats and our cat never goes far anyway. I saw another dog try to chase after a squirrel. There are plenty of those around Fairfield.
I was feeling fairly good on this run and so was able to push a bit hard on my way back down the hill. That gave me my third quickest time on Strava for that segment. I took it easy on the way home after that. I may have missed some of the school run as it was fairly quiet through the village.
I am averaging about 30km per week lately, which is what I had hoped for this year. My monthly half marathons contribute to that.
Last night I watched Mad Max: Fury Road. That is a very silly movie, but it was some fun escapism.
Run free and stay well.
Great day and run. Keep it up.
Pouring rain for us this morning. My wife and I did our weight training downstairs while we watched last nights episode of Big Brother. It was a good workout. I changed things up a little bit to give me some more resistance.
It's blue skies here now. I ought to get some more things done in the garden.
Hope you did not run with Mad Max on Fury Road :)
It has been raining in here for almost a week now. But, I managed to run more frequently this week. The weather is helping.
I don't fancy running in a desert with people trying to kill me :)
Well done for running in the rain. It was really wet yesterday, but much better today here. It rarely stays the same for long.
