Thank you my friend and it is done. Sadly not one whale breached, but there was much action all over the place. Like the one guy said there, the sea was boiling.
One day I surely get a whale climbing out of the water, but tomorrow is always another day 😉

Right, we are back here and thank heavens that the wind is laying down.
The South Easter was at storm strength the whole morning and the clouds blanketed the mountains here.
The army helicopters has also joined the fight with water bags, as no copters could fly in the wind, so soon the fire will be settled.
I will wait for a fire damages report and send you a copy.

Thankfully no deaths Hannes, but yes, some severe irreplaceable damages, as the old Windmill, built in the 1700s was destroyed and a library was also severely damaged. Some politician's house burnt down and a historic restaurant was destroyed.
They will investigate the damages and I will send you a copy of the report.

No deaths is most important.
I feel sad for the old buildings and even more for the destroyed books, but human life's count more.

Oh yes, human lives are the most important Hannes, but it was so unnesseccary, as many animals lives were lost and historical artefacts and buildings were destroyed.

Now the guy that was arrested may not be guilty of starting a fire, as I read that he lived in a shelter on the mountain. Apparently he is from Tanzania, but it is all hearsay at the moment.
So we will have to wait for the truth to appear.

Of course it was all unnecessary and I feel sad for the animals and the buildings.
I hope they will find the trutz about this all.
