Fun in the rain!

Most of us grab umbrellas or stay dry and warm indoors when it's raining!

In South Africa after a prolonged drought, the farmers dance in the rain!

That's rain on my car's window as we went out to have a look at the ocean in the downpour and we saw some beautiful sights.
There's always life and endurance during rainy times and we found some of it to show you!

029.JPG

Here above is a pair of Oystercatchers and amazing to see them out in the open!

020.JPG

A closer look at the Oystercatchers and the strange thing is that they normally hide in the rocks.
Maybe they were out to have a bath in the rain 🤣

036.JPG

A Kelp gull flying here in the rain and I was already sopping wet lol.

011.JPG

Once just a trickle during the drought, look at the river now!

270.JPG

Don't doubt the decision of the 11 seagulls here to rather head for home in the late afternoon!

073.JPG

Our view in the photo above as we arrived back at home!

So yes, when it rains we go out, crazy isn't it ?
Nope, not in my book as water is life and I am alive 🤣
The drumming sound of the rain on the car's roof sang a song; "Listen to the falling rain, listen to the rain, and with every drop of rain I love you more"

This is surely the Maker's love and gift to all living beings when the rain water soaks the parched earth. Flowers pop up and dance, chipmunks and squirrels smile and the birds cleave through the skies. Yes, finally the drought is broken and the dams are filling up. Why then would we hide from this?
Sincere gratitude and joy was in order all the way round!

And That's All Friends!

I leave you to think about this;

“Health is the new wealth. Happiness is the new rich. Inner peace is the new success. Kindness is the new cool.” —Syed Balkhi

cool shot son a rainy day, we could do with some of that rain also we are in a bad drought at the moment and everything is so dry

Luckily no wildfires here like there are on the west coast, lets hope it stays that way

We had bumper seasons of wild fires over the past 5 year drought and it might even be 7 years JJ.
I posted about the Helicopters carrying water in balloon bags to one fire here in the mountains.

I hope that you guys will also get good rains soon.

The weather across the world is going crazy these days!

And some still doubt climate change which I prefer to call it to me global warming just confuses people and makes it easy fir people to dismiss it

Exactly JJ, everyone nowadays puts "more acceptable" names to their sins in order to fool the public and for the public to accept it. So many cons in life, but they don't know that it will come back to haunt them.

History has shown us this and it will continue to show us that we can't hide the real truth!

With the election coming up here there are so many lies and most Ruth’s many are so confused or mire they choose to only listen to what fonts into what they want to believe it’s so crazy and frustrating and I will stop there as I normally avoid discussing politics

Agreed and I told you a long time ago that we are twins from different mothers lol.

We were cloistered up with the weather again, but a good thing as Marian received an urgent list with 18 chapters to proof read and edit and she had to stop her student exam markings to do the list first.
She is still busy with it right here right now and she has 3 chapters left to do, but I told her that she can complete them in the morning JJ.

Hope that your Sunday was good my friend!

Yep, done the emergency request and posted it at 11:30 last night.
Let's hope that they will be happy, as she read it to me and it sounds great.

I would certainly belong to the ones who stay warm indoors - rain means life, that's true, but although I am not the tallest I don't need to grow any longer or wider 😉

I like the first two shots most - the drops on the window and the Oystercatchers with the waves behind 😊

Those Oystercatchers were the most difficult to get, as I must have taken about 10 shots of them. The rain bathed me and the car that I was standing next to and the wind tried it's best to steal the small camera umbrella.

Well you can blame your childhood for being short, but for the width you can't blame anyone, as it is your live for sweet stuff hahaha.
So, you have reached the max of height and width lol.
Of course too much of either is never a good thing and you already have enough to keep warm 🤣

Cheers and thanks!

For the width I can blame my mother and my wife, because both cook delicious food 😉
Well, I think I have reached the a tiny bit more than the max width, but that's no problem and will be gone after a few walks 😁

Both things that I miss in my life Hannes.
We are more into "healthy" eating and at times I feel like a rabbit.
Nothing can beat home cooking 😘

They say that during winter people gets fat and that's why all of the gyms here place slimming ads in spring. But it sounds that you can easily shake it off with walks and that's always a good thing.

Cheers and thanks!

Apart from the fact that my daughter doesn't eat meat we eat what we like. The 3 or 4 kilos I have too much to carry around with me don't matter 😉
I have never been to a gym or similar facility before.

You are lucky to shake excess weight off easily and I am the same. But now with the back problem I eat less just to compensate. Thankfully I have never been fat, so it's a great help.
During my boxing days I was in the gym almost daily for 12 years, but that was a long time ago and since then I have also never set foot in a gym again.

Obviously your walks keep you in trim methinks!

Cheers and thanks!

The walks are certainly good, but even better are the vibrations of the Harley I believe 🤣

So, there you go, I don't know what they call those shaking machines in the gyms Hannes. I have seen through the window how some ladies wobble on them and maybe they should all buy Harleys for "good vibrations"

Cheers and thanks!

That's exactly what I mean 🤣🤣🤣
I do really believe that this helps.
Maybe I should rent my Harley to people who want to lose weight 😂

Oh yes man, now you are thinking Hannes.
I can almost smell the new business; "HANNES SLIMMING SERVICES"

The business slogan can be; "Ladies, lose those xtra kilos today and have fun"

Sounds like a dream job methinks, and you get to ride around all day lol!

Cheers and thanks!

One big problem: the ladies have to ride alone because my Harley has only one seat and too few horse power for two people anyway 😂

No problem sire, simply fit a side car hahaha.
You pilot and the ladies have not only vibrations, but also sweat in the side car when you drive fast, so both is good for weight loss.🤣

Cheers and thanks!

Great idea, and I know some "special" roads where not only the ladies will have fun, but me too when I see them jumping up and down with and in the side car 🤣

Hahaha, now I don't want to tell you that it was exactly what I was thinking, as I love fun and tricks. A couple of bumps and hollow sections in some specially chosen roads, will certainly have some interesting results lol.
You will just have to be careful not to lose some ladies out of that sidecar with a high bump at speed Hannes. 🤣

Cheers and thanks!

Well, I won't tell you what I was thinking but didn't write down, but I think there's not much of a difference between our thoughts 😂 lol

If a Lady will be safe in the sidecar depends on whether she has already paid 😁

Oh no, you are a naughty bugger and I can only wonder at times about your thoughts 🤣
I think that the riding part was the only similarities in our thoughts and the rest of my thoughts had nothing to do with flying legs all over when you hit a bump in the road, or maybe something else lol.

Exactly what I said above, it's the mountain goat style 🤣

Cheers and thanks!

Hahaha, now what a kind of thing is that to ask me Hannes?
Do I perhaps sense a bit of a guilty conscience here?
Definitely your fault, I mean who else can we blame?

Leading a naïve and innocent boy like me down the mountain goat lane 🤣

Cheers and thanks!

So it's my fault. I thought so, but I didn't ask you to follow me, and don't say you don't have fun 😂 lol

Hahahah, I picked up the smell of the Austrian mountain goat and automatically my PC mouse (a great hunter), started to track the smell.
Boom! As I saw the mountain goat my mouse already clicked it lol.
So now we are doomed to a friendship for life lol.

Oh yes, the mountain goat was a bit stiff at the beginning, but like all other animals he soon became used to me and then started to show me his crazy side hahaha.

Cheers and thanks!

Haha, you don't know my really crazy side, but I will show it to you when the Hive moons. Maybe they could use your rocket, but you should make a few testflights before 🤣

On the other side of the crazy coin is also my really crazy side and I think that's what's keeping Hive from moving hahaha.
Now look, I may be dumb, but I am not stupid Hannes, no way that I will get into that rocket as I feel safer with my feet on mother earth. So I will stand right below the rocket when it takes off hahahah!

Cheers and Thanks!

So you don't trust in your own work? Oh man, I do trust you and the mountain goat will sit in the pilot's seat and steer that thing to the moon and back, and if it flies too slow I will get outside and push it from behind 🤣

Cheers and !BEER

No, no, no, I have full trust in my work mate, but I have to perform the ground control duties.
I have selected the best materials that I could afford to build the rocket. A strong wooden frame and some used corrugated metal sheets. Also the best used lawnmower motor that I could find.
For the lift off power I got a stick of explosive from a criminal that steals the gold underground in the old mining tunnels. It has a long fuse wire that I will light at the lift off.

So once we have lift off, you simply have to start the lawnmower motor and you will be on your way!
I will also place two extra 5 liter cans of gas in the cabin for the motor.
Now I will make a seat with some old mattress springs under it with a lever that you will pull to eject you when you go outside to push.

So you can look forward to the media headlines; "Austrian mountain goat lands on the moon"

Hope that you are looking forward to the trip hahaha.

Ps. I hope that I didn't say too much about my design here in case NASA or someone else steals it lol.

Cheers and thanks!

At first you should get a patent on the engine of the rocket, because such a motor if quite efficient and doesn't use so much fuel like the NASA rockets do.

That sounds like a good and well thought plan and you are right, I am looking forward to my journey to the moon. Of course I'll take my camera with me and maybe I can post a few photos from the backside of the moon 😀

I will have to take a large Hive flag with me to place it on the moon surface. If there are other flags around I will take them home and give them to their owners who have forgot them there 😂

Good idea and you are right as we can also claim for protecting the ozone layer.
Yeah, take your camera, a lunch box and maybe two cold drinks for the trip as you won't have time to stop at any of the shops.
But I think that we have to show the moon some respect and not send photos of her backside to the world lol.

I will also put a roll of fiber cable in the cabin next to the shower so that you can unroll it on your way until you get there, as then we can communicate with our phones when you land there.
I'll tie the other end of the cable to a tree here outside our bedroom window.

That Hive flag must have a large black X on it so that the guys here can use it as target to hit with the Hive price lol. They are firing a bit haphazardly lately into the bundus!

Good idea to show goodwill to the guys that that forgot their flags there. Maybe they will sponsor us for a few lunches, or even better give us the titles of Lords lol.

Cheers and thanks!

Haha 🤣🤣🤣 I can't add anything to this, sorry, it's too good, but the only thing I can say is that I hope they see the X and know what it means 😂

Hahaha, only thing that worries me is that they might look through their fancy single eye binoculars called telescopes, or periscopes and see that X as a railway shunting sign lol

Headline news: "Chinese are building a railway on the moon" hahahah

Cheers and thanks!

Oh yes, that would be bad, of course, funny, but bad for us. We'll have to add a sign to show them that it's the target for the Hive 🙂

Not these my friend, as we also have sandpiper-magpies here.
They Oystercatchers can be found in many other countries in black and white, but only on the south coast of South Africa, this sub species of pure black Oystercatchers exist.

Your post brought this to mind this morning, "who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the mountains" Psalm 147:8 and "...His favor is as a cloud brining the spring rain" Proverbs 16:15
Blessings this beautiful Sunday my friend
