Early Christmas songs in Spring season!

avatar
(Edited)

346.JPG

The mommy at the left was singing a "Boney M" Christmas song to to her two babies, as at Christmas they will be strong!

Here today we have some Cape Sparrow spring season babies with a twist at the end of the post!

Brave little birds the little sparrows are, as they have no defense against the bigger birds like the robins, thrushes and even the doves that chase them and yet they do their thing.
Even The Egyptian geese cannot stop the sparrows from stealing small pieces of bread right under their noses 🤣
Come and have a look see!

329.JPG

There was a time to feed and to eat here!

350.JPG

And then a time to rest with full tiny stomachs!

018.JPG

Here's another mom doing her thing near the geese's water bucket in our garden!
Once the geese had eaten and taken off, this area is invaded by about 20 ringneck doves and a troop of the little sparrows!

044.JPG

This baby awoke and was doing some Sparrow Yoga stretches!

045.JPG

Mom arrived with some breakfast!

065.JPG

Then it was time for the baby to clean itself before the day's action!

056.JPG

Now here above is a trick photo. Two birds in the morning sun!
No? Look below the dove! Ah, a little sunbird having a tan 😃

070.JPG

Finally, this young "Double collared Sunbird" asked me if he could wave a goodbye to all of our readers!
I don't think that he has his wave quite right yet, but it will improve as he grows 😜

Yes, I love to post uplifting and fun posts at times and as we are now almost halfway through the week, I think we all need a a smile rather than a tear!
I cannot tell you how cute it is watching these little ones trying to fly. They land anywhere and we had to scramble as one even landed in the water bucket.

And That's All Friends!

I leave you with this:

The first photo suits the title perfectly - the photo looks so sweet, just like a little chorus and the red flowers look like christmas decoration 😊

The other photos are great too and I like the one where the baby bird is fed and squints with one eye to you - so funny 😊

Thank you Hannes,

Those red flowers hang on what they call a "Bottle Brush" tree and it's in another Bottle Brush where the dwarf chameleons live.
This tree where the babies are in also gets many other small visitors like the Cape White eyes and also the Red collared Sunbird.

Hahaha, I wonder what he was thinking when he squinted like that lol.
Maybe you have an idea about his thoughts?

Cheers and thanks!

Ps. We have thoughts about turning that first photo into an online Christmas Card when the time arrives!

The little guy thought "Do you take a photo of me eating a worm? Please don't post the photo on Facebook, post it on the Hive!"

Oh yes, great idea - this photo looks already like a Christmas card 😀

You see? I was right as you always know what animals and birds think, as it is the Austrian mountain goat blood lol.

So, the idea is great and we shall do such on Hive only lol.

This card will look so cool 😊

That is what we need as humans Hannes, a universal language.
But of course that can never happen as long as nations and peoples cling to their own nationalities.

Glad that you like the card idea.

Cheers and thanks!

Esperanto? A language
I remember that there was one language before the tower of Babel and upon it's destruction everyone spoke different languages, but only in that context, as there were different languages in other parts of the world.

Cheers and thanks!

Esperanto was developed later as far as I know 😉

Esperanto was created in 1887 as a universal second language to foster world peace and international understanding. The founder was a Polish guy and Stalin and his cronies was against it.
In my birth year 1954 the United Nations granted official support to it.
A guy William Auld, a British poet added to Esperanto literature and he was nominated for a Nobel prize.
Sadly Esperanto is viewed as "Stateless Diasporic Linguistic group" and no country has adopted it!

Interesting stuff an maybe we must have a look at this language my friend.

Cheers and thanks!

It's interesting, but I don't think I want to learn a language that no one speaks - that would be like having a secret language 😉

Cheers and !BEER

Maybe they will change their minds and the language could indeed become popular Hannes.
At the moment it has about 2 million speakers, but the language is declared as "stateless".
So you and I can learn the language and after your retirement we can declare the backyard of your parent's place as an international state.

Just think about it, our own economy, 5 young and beautiful secretaries each, oh and there are so many other possibilities hahaha. We can even establish our own "Esperanto medical laboratory" and engineer a plant root to convert into a pill that when taken will reverse our ageing back to youth lol.
Now imagine the trillions of dollars if we were to market that pill.

I wonder what Marian will say about this educated discussion lol.

I see a great light ahead lol, it might turn out to be a freight train heading directly at me hahaha.

Cheers and thanks!

Haha, you're a dreamer my friend, I knew that before, but that's too much, because I don't want to learn another language - the other things sound great though. So, all we would need is an interpreter for me 😂
If your wife don't like that we have 5 secretaries each, I am willing to share mine with her and the freight train will stop at the station 😉

Okay, okay, I knew that you would want more girls, so you can another one to serve as an interpreter, young and good looking of course.

No, no, we will strike a bargain with my wife, that will also settle your wife's problems, we will send them on a tour every year on the motorbike sidecars that I posted today hahaha.

Cheers and !BEER

Okay, this sounds even better, but the interpreter should not be very beautiful because I might not listen to her 😉

I'll have a look at the post later, but I am very curious 😊

Hahaha, that famous Austrian mountain goat humor.
We can always get one that was a professional wrestler and that has a "I like to eat men!" slogan tattooed across her back. She might also have a skew broken nose and a squinty left eye.
I am sure that you will much rather concentrate your romantic urges on her interpretations hahahah. Problem solved 100%

Cool about the post, no worries.

Cheers and thanks!

Hahaha, but I don't think it will your fathe4r that we have to worry about Hannes.
Your mother has many friends in the neighborhood and she could easily gather a small army.
Have you ever faced 100 angry ladies with grass brooms dipped in oil a set alight?

I surely think our dream business will go up in ashes and some of us will run around with burning backsides lol.

So I think that it would be wise the shelve this dream in order to keep the peace.
Mind you, you are a peace officer in any case lol.

Cheers and thanks!

Haha, if you think so, but you don't know my mother.

She has even been with us in such a bar once where there are girls … you know what I mean ;) She wanted to see how it is in there. The bar is on the other side of the valley where my parents live and many of the ladies in the village didn't like this bar, because you could and still can see the red lights ;)
Long story short, my mother has had much fun 😁🤣

You at most times always have such uplifting stories Hannes.
I could feel myself sitting in that bar and watching your mother having a good time.
She sounds like a very non judgmental person and secure in herself, not to feel threatened by others.
I bet that she had good fun lol.

Cheers and thanks!

Oh, you "kids" had a few, no what in your mind is a "few" Hannes?

Your mom had had maybe one or two, but I think you kids were hot when you you went to that pub lol.
I used to love to sit in drinking places to watch the people. I would sit at a side table with a glass of coke and just watch the scene.
Amazing how a man walks in timid and quiet and after he had a few drinks the hero emerges and he becomes loud and verbose.

Cheers and thanks!

Nowadays I also have much fun watching the people getting drunk 🤣

Well it should take a quantity to make you brave enough to go and visit there, so one and two and even three is out. That leaves us with 4 as a start to really take the reigns off the tongue and 5 to back the loose tong up with bravery. After that comes 6, 7 and 8 with feelings of recklessness an joy, but when we get to 9 and 10 longing for home, regret, sorrow and rears start hahaha. The worst is that the next morning you have a headache that will scare the cats and you can't remember what you did or said the the night before lol.

Oh yeah, I was there right beside you hahaha.
Saw how you tried to dance and fell over onto the lap of that old lady and saw how she smacked you when you touched her leg and tried to kiss her lol.
You even tried to kiss a guy at some stage of the happy festivities.
But the worst was that you ate one of the little gold fishes that the bartender keeps in a bowl of water on his counter.

Hahaha, just my version of what happened that night, so you dare not show your face there again lol.

I think that we can see some part of ourselves in them when they get drunk Hannes hahaha.

Cheers and thanks!
