The Red-faced Mousebird (Urocolius indicus): A Year Long Struggle to Photograph
It has been a year since I started actively "birding" or taking photographs of birds on a regular basis. Since then, I have come to recognize the different bird species that visit my garden and the time periods when they are most active. Most of the bird friends are not that shy; at first, they were, but when they got more used to me I had the opportunity to take photographs of most of the friends. There are two or three bird friends that are very shy though, but I have taken photographs of them.
But there has been one species of bird friends that have evaded my camera for a year. I will add all the photographs at the bottom of the post or in the second heading, or my attempts like I regularly call it. These attempts have been shot over a time period of a year. Last week I sat on the wall silent and in a shadow and then it happened! The red-faced Mousebird (Urocolius indicus) sat just in front of me! For a whole year they evaded my camera, they always know that I am there trying to capture them with my camera. When I walk to the garden they immediately fly away. Their call or bird song has been mocking me for a whole year. But now I present you with some photographs of this stunning bird. Please enjoy!

Thanks again like always! I really appreciate the support.
Success! A beautiful bird and wonderful photos! Some of your attempts remind me of many of my own attempts!
Thank you! Yes, I was so lucky to get so close. And I am glad I am not the only one with so many attempts haha
