Scaly-breasted Munia - Lonchura punctulata

Socializing munias :) the leftmost one. i think it was caught and sold as pets and it was even colored red, sometimes i saw yellow ones too. somehow it got free. and found a flock. surely it's natural color will come back. :)

This one am not so sure if its scaly breasted. but i think it's a juvenile. that's why the patterns not showing yet.

i sometimes get lucky to get closed with munias. specially when they are looking or eating grass seeds. they will allow me to shoot near.

Thou, it looks like its in a corner. I did saw the other munias seem to be ok with the artificially colored one :)

I am so happy the red one escaped and I hope it lives a long life in the wild! They are beautiful birds just the way they are!

Yes. Artificially colored by some enterprising people. So they can sell it. Sad but it happens.
