Olive-backed Sunbird - Nectarinia jugularis
It's a young pair. maybe thats why the choose my balcony. saw then making a nest months ago.
Yesterday, the ligthing is a bit better. it's dark on the part where the nest is.
I really hope they would make a family in the said nest :) We will be able to see baby birds, growing up and doing it's first flight :)
the female fixing the nest, making the entrance better.
I always see the female bringing more nest materials.
Yeah , the lazy male just love to pose :)
He also do the noisy bird call alarm. :)

Wow stunning photos, such a great shot to get the insight about the nest making process.
How exciting having these two Olive-backed Sunbirds so close to you @digitalis The photos are exceptional. I just read what your reply to Melinda's comments and I hope you and your family stay safe during the typhoon and the birds nest will survive the winds etc.
Thanks, sis. We are okay. My home can withstand winds and rains. If i count right it's almost 35yrs old.
Yeah, the nest survived. Lest wait if the pair will lay eggs on it.
Likewise, we tsu gang are sturdy. :)
That's great news bro. Glad to hear that nest survived and you and your family of course...…..We, ex-Tsuvians were a tough breed alright. (lol)
I look forward to seeing more photos of your little bird family as they grow.
I'm so excited to see that OCD curated your FeatheredFriends post! ❤️
me too :) will try to do better.
Our govt recently put us on modified enchanced community quarantine (MECQ) . I might be able to go out and shoot. :)
I am so glad that you might be able to go out and take photos!
Did the nest survive the storm?
Yep. Nest is ok. I think this one is their backup nest. Since even before. They come and go. Since yesterday I not heard or see them. The nest is near my roome I can hear if they come :)
I'm happy it is OK! It would be such fun if they use it!
