Those Sepia Birds In Color
As promised...here are the color versions of the birds that I posted in sepia tone this past weekend for #sepiasaturday! My first two photos are of a female Cardinal that comes by frequently. Is she the same one coming by? I can't say for sure but I think she may be. The Cardinals love safflower seeds and most other birds do not so it is a good seed to put in the feeder if you want to attract them.
My next two photos feature a Robin that was resting on the fence in my front yard. The Robin must have been tired of flying and hopping around in the rain as it perched on the fencing for a while. If you look closely at the photos then you may see what looks like little white dots on the Robin which are actually tiny raindrops.
Some seagulls that I photographed when I visited the pond at Bynum Run in Harford County, Maryland...
...and a Mallard duck in the water at Loch Raven Reservoir in Baltimore County, Maryland!
A couple of photos of a Blue Jay? The male and female Blue Jay are almost identical but the male is slightly larger so good luck trying to figure out which is which..lol. I love their blue colors but, honestly, the ones around here tend to be quite the bullies to the other song birds. Good thing they don't like safflower seeds! 😉
I heard this next bird before I saw him or her. It is a Mourning Dove aka Turtle Dove and she was perched way up high in a tree in my backyard. The cooing sound they make does indeed sound a bit mournful.
My last photo is one of my favorite birds as I'm sure many people may say the same. It is a male Cardinal. I love him so much that I decided to flip my photo and show him twice. Makes it look like twin Cardinals sitting on the fence out there. I do like how the photo came out and hope you like it too! 💖
In case you missed my #sepiasaturday post and want to see it then you can do so HERE or you can just watch this short slideshow showing all but one of those birds in sepia as well! 😉

Yeah the front shot of the robin was spot on, very sharp.
All were nice though. =)

Thank you very much @melinda010100!! I must give all of the credit to the Robin as it was so polite and posed nice and still for me. 😉 💖
