Shadow and Birds - SongThrush, Wood Pigeon and Chickens
Birds of a Day - Song Thrush, Wood Pigeon and Chickens.
Today, I thought about the fact that in my photo archive there are many photographs that depict birds and they are gathering dust idle.
When I opened the folder with the date 02/04/2019, I realized that this is the right material.
I remember that day well. Then, I went in search of photo plots for the Shadow Photos competition, which was organized by the respected @melinda010100.
On the way, I did not miss the opportunity to take photographs and other interesting objects.
Then, I saw two species of birds, which, five years ago, were not in our city.
Song Thrush are one such bird.
I may have ignored them as a photographer before, but I believe the hunter's instinct.
At first glance, this bird is not very bright, but when the sun's rays fall on it, it looks like a winged leopard that sings beautifully.
The second wild bird that I saw that day is the large forest pigeon Columba palumbus.
Previously, they did not leave the forest, but now, they can often be seen within the city limits.
This bird looks like the doves we are accustomed to, but it is several times larger than a dove. Compare the sizes of the Sembernard and the Spaniel, it would be a fitting comparison.
Columba palumbus has a characteristic color, they are not multi-colored, like doves.
Now, it's time to move from wild birds to birds that have become the lot of farmers.
You can never guess where I photographed these chickens.
The enterprising car service owner decided to use the lawn in front of the car service at his own discretion.
Now, the lawn area brings him eggs and meat.
This concludes the story of the birds that I met that day.
I was able to find the shadow of the stone, because, then, it was the shadow of the stone that was the theme of the competition.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
Great photos. I see your point about the song thrush looking like a leopard. Very uncanny. And the Columba Palumbus even has a streak of red on its chest. Very colorful indeed. Nice shadow pic. Such a long shadow for a small stone. Interesting play with the angle of the light. I hope you won with this entry.
Wonderful bird photos! The Song Thrush is quite lovely and the Wood pigeon is quite grand! And even a shadow to go with them!
I love it!
