Cyanistes caeruleus - Eurasian blue tit

avatar

Cyanistes caeruleus or Eurasian blue tit is one of the species of titmouse.

This bird is smaller than the titmouse we are used to.

I don't often see these birds in nature.

But, five years ago, I went fishing on a lake located on the outskirts of the city of Rivne, Ukraine.

I remember that day well. I rarely go fishing, but I really love fishing.

On this day, I did not catch a lot of fish, I released almost all the fish, it was too small.

I was fishing on the beach and, shaking off the sand from my things, I headed towards my car, which was parked near the barrier.

I put the fishing rods in the trunk and was about to get behind the wheel when I saw some movement near the barrier.

I saw a small bird fly out of the support pipe of the steel structure and come back, diving into the pipe.

Also, I heard a thin squeak that came from the pipe.

My camera was close by and I took some pictures.

In its beak, this tit holds a worm, or centipede, apparently, it is an excellent hunter, who, like me, went fishing in the morning.

Parents are very attentive and keep an eye on the environment around their home.

A few moments of the bird's flight. The work of these birds was like a conveyor belt.

When, once again, the birds flew away, I cautiously approached the pipe.

At first, I saw nothing, the sounds stopped.

By changing the settings of the camera, I was able to see what this tube concealed in itself.

Little chicks were the treasure of this cave.

My photo hunt that day was more successful than fishing.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.

Small birds always so shy, appears you attract small fish though!

Delightful finding the nest with the chicks waiting patiently for parents return, nice outing, one never knows what treasures we will see in nature @barski

What a very special bird, they are as cute as the Tufted Titmouse we have in the United States I have them here all summer and enjoy seeing them. Thank you for sharing them with us.

What a clever spot for them to build a nest! Fishing and bird watching go together nicely! Thanks for posting to the #featheredfriends community!
