And then filling the silhouette with colorful patterns made with a pastel brush

I love the smoothness of the pastels, it is such a fun to apply them that I loose myself in the colored path construction... 😊

The two loving macaws where a lot of time to create, because firstly they are much bigger to fill than a Robin,

Hello my friend. I love these macaws. They remind me of the batik cloths normally found in the south of our country. I love the attention to details and they're perfect for Valentine's Day. I've been away for quite some time but am on a comeback, perhaps not as active initially but as my schedule clears up I'll be buzzing around Hive like a bumblebee lol. I hope you are fine and it was nice touching base with you again.

@gems.and.cookies ! nice to see you back ! I was checking your account one or two weeks ago, wondering if you still were in the neighborhood and had noticed your last post was an alphabethunt one ..and it reminded me that time goes very fast and I still have not start a challenge again.
In fact I have very few time on the internet now with my day job I have began in october, and the time I can be on Hive I do the curation for the beloved Feathered Friends community, the other part of my free time is devoted for my art and eventually rest a bit...LoL

Thank you @jadeaca ^_^ You've heard well, there is a great community that is the Feathered Friends , I'm quite involved in...😉 And I create some art around the birds for a new collection I have called Feathered Art , as it is inspired by all the wonderful posts I read there for the curation . It's not a challenge but it could become one, why not, I'm already thinking of that and have some ideas to go further, but I have to consider if enough time on my side..😉

Your macaws are so fun!! I love the patterns you have created for them, giving them life, in their entirety. Not just a feather, but, feathers within feathers. You have such a creative mind, your thought process is like being right there in an art class with you!
