Operation Recover the View

Operation recover the view and let the sun back in started on Sunday.

It will coninue for at least the rest of the week. Ten years ago, there was hardly any shade in this garden and we were very exposed to passersby. Now, it's so shady the grass doesn't grow.

We are hoping this operation not only lets in sun, reveals our lost mountain view, lets in the sun so the grass grows again while retaining our privacy.

Going to be a bit sparse and "stalky" especially after the roses are pruned - don't you love those hips?

I believe it'll be worth it when the iceberg roses and other shrubs reward us for letting in the sun.

Update will follow when the operation is complete.

For those asking

I have promised to do a series: one roast chicken and four completely different meals.

It's a work in progress.
