[ENG/RUS]. World web and we like network users. Part two. The World Wide Web and we as netizens

And then, as we all know well, within the network, and on the Internet itself, there are no fundamental differences between clients and servers. Therefore, like both, these are all computers. Any of us can now easily install the program on our computer and, after setting it up, create and distribute sites from it. In addition, we all understand that computers on the Internet are somehow connected to each other, but how? And here everything is simple - imagine a cobweb. Yes, yes - that very web, but as a system of a global scale (this is the world web). This is how our Internet is arranged, the name of the web is not so simply given. Well, in working order, the whole basics of the Internet are a mass of large cables (more than a cable made of fiber), through which continents and countries, cities and people are connected with information through their computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. It is through these cables that huge amounts of data are transmitted that we receive.

Right now, each of us is sitting in front of his computer - some in Europe or America, and some in Russia or South Africa. The user looks at the monitor - someone writes something, and someone of us reads (like this is my post in the Silver Bloggers community now). And all our data that we put on the international computer network is transmitted over all these intercontinental cables, connecting large data exchange points through servers, providers, using traffic between people. It's easier to say so, so as not to remember the countries and continents again. And the points are called - ekscheyndzhi and these are organizations that are responsible for the exchange of data along the entire route. It must be understood that there are not so many (or very many) such points, there are no more than 1600 of them all over the world yet. And now (already today) many either at home or at work simply have some boxes through which Wi-Fi is distributed for your computer or smartphone to connect them to the world network called the Internet.

WORLDWIDE WEB AND WE AS NETWORK USERS...

In general, the Internet is not a magic cloud on a network with content (as many think), it is a huge number of servers, routers and cables that entwine our entire planet like a spider web (and who then are spiders and who, in fact, are victims). There are a lot of questions here, although we are unlikely to find answers to them. And is there any need to look for them when everything is working so well? And further - for a complete understanding. Here is a multi-storey building in front of us in the city where one of us lives. The same international route or highway goes to this house, along which the provider will provide its services for you. Further, having covered your area (house, entrance, apartment, computer or smartphone), the provider will provide you with certain traffic for a certain payment for its services. Approximately, such a scheme of work of the world wide web, called the Internet, without which even today no inhabitant of the planet can live. Moreover, every day there are more and more new services.

To be continued where we look at cyber security issues.

Attention, my friends! In continuation (my next new post), I want to propose for discussion a topic or issues of cyber security right here on the Hive and Ecency platforms. This is because phishing attacks on user accounts have become more frequent. I think this also applies to our community of Silver Bloggers, where authors and bloggers should be protected to some extent, knowing how exactly scammers conduct attacks on the Internet.

I can't really understand how the internet works. Just happily using it.

But sometimes it's just interesting to know what works and how. Especially such a worldwide network as the Internet. Although you are right - we do not think about how a telephone, radio or TV with its programs works.
Thank you!
