The shadow of the Empire/ Star Wars

The main plot is told in Steve Perry's novel Shadows of the Empire. Features Prince Xizor, a leading alien capo from Black Sun, the largest criminal organization in the galaxy. His goal is to take Darth Vader's place next to Emperor Palpatine.

Han Solo remains frozen in carbonite, being brought to the vile gangster Jabba the Hutt by bounty hunter Boba Fett. It shows Boba Fett's secret quest for Princess Leia, the construction of Luke Skywalker's new lightsaber, and Darth Vader's search for his son. Introduces a new character in the saga, Dash Rendar, a smuggler.
