Hive Open Mic 55, General Review and Highlights
Every week, a new theme invites musicians to take the stage of Hive Open Mic. It is good to have those themes around which musicians gather, and let inspiration guide the creation of music.
For week 55, that starting point of inspiration was Statement, chosen by the spotlight musician @ricardomello in one of the previous weeks. We listened to declarations of love, of thoughts, of frustration as well as declarations of hope, of being able to sing, or what means to be a child of musicians. Interesting enough for everyone to choose what a declaration means to each one.
Cada semana, un nuevo tema invita a los músicos a subir al escenario de Hive Open Mic. Es bueno tener esos temas en torno a los cuales se reúnen los músicos y dejar que la inspiración guíe la creación de la música.
Para la semana 55, ese punto de partida de inspiración fue Declaración, elegida por el músico destacado @ricardomello en una de las semanas anteriores. Escuchamos declaraciones de amor, de pensamientos, de frustración, así como declaraciones de esperanza, de saber cantar o de lo que significa ser hijo de músicos. Lo suficientemente interesante como para que todos puedan elegir qué significa una declaración para cada uno.
There were more than 90 entries for week 55 of Hive Open Mic and I think that it was a record number until now for one week. It is very nice to see the growth of the community in number. However, we should pay attention to the quality of the posts as well, for example, the message the entry brings or the proper introduction of the week with the username at the beginning of the video. It is good for users to support each other and try to engage as much as they can.
In this post, there will be one spotlight artist, chosen by the admin @cabelindsay and I agree with his choice. To be easier to read the article, there will not be too many highlighted videos, but you can check out the other musicians as I will write a short note and link to those entries. Let us have a look at what we could listen to.
Hubo más de 90 entradas para la semana 55 de Hive Open Mic y creo que fue un número récord hasta ahora durante una semana. Es muy agradable ver el crecimiento de la comunidad en número. Sin embargo, también debemos prestar atención a la calidad de las publicaciones, por ejemplo, el mensaje que trae la entrada o la presentación adecuada de la semana con el nombre de usuario al comienzo del video. Es bueno que los usuarios se apoyen entre sí y traten de participar tanto como puedan.

Arunimabiju has chosen to bring a statement about mother's love through the song Kangal neeye. Her voice is flying and is so soft and calm, but at the same time filled with many details. It was the second week of her participation and this entry brought me a lot of happiness to see and hear this nice voice, the violin, and a lot of dedication and work given into this. It was great! And her way of interpretation was amazing. My most honest congratulations Karlaquinviolin.

It is always such a pleasure to listen to Maria and her husband performing together. She feels the same, as she said that his playing is magical and sounds like a declaration of love. Also, she dedicates her singing to him. Perfect declaration of love and perfect performance!

An absolutely beautiful post, with so great message and personal experience. Jesus talked about how difficult was to be a child of musicians and be surrounded by a whole family with musical background. I understand all those expectations, but finally, he steps out for himself and chooses to be a musician as he likes to sing, not as others wanted him to do that. How beautiful statement! I am happy that you bring us so many nice songs and performances to Hive Open Mic.

I can't believe this, thank you so much @cabelindsay and @mipiano . I have always dreamed of becoming the spotlight artist but I didn't expect it to happen anytime soon. You guys literally made my day 💕. I honor you for achieving the huge feat of keeping these highlights short and sweet. Honestly, I think this is a good precedent for future highlights posts in the Hive Open Mic community as your highlights give us simple glimpses of everyday heaven.
There is probably still room for some aspects to be improved or some details added. Not probably, but for sure. It will slowly crystallize what is the most suitable form for highlighting as many good entries as possible, but still, be easy to read. This presentation is just one form, we can still think about something else, but I am more than happy you consider this as a good precedent :)

My late dad played the balalaika well.
I kept it, I have it, and then I will give it to my son.
