Hive Open Mic #121 - Ode to my Family (The Cranberries)
Hello my friends!
In the past I have been choosing a lot of "cheesy" songs; I think it's time I move on a bit, as people start thinking, that's all I do.. 😄
So, for this week's theme I chose Ode to my Family by The Cranberries of their Album "No need to Argue", which was released in 1994.
It's about having the simple life back after choosing a life on stage and always being on the road with the band. Dolores O'Riordan sings this with so much emotion, as she did most of her songs. Sadly did she pass away very suddenly in 2018.

I've always loved singing this one, although, I've never really played the guitar to it; I use a pick mostly and picking guitar strings with it is not one of my strongest points. Work in progress.

The Cranberries is one of my favorite bands ever, I was so sad when I found out about Dolores O'Riordan's death. Their music will ever live though.

Both my guitars are Taylor GS Mini.. And this one is only a month old, it's the Koa version, while my other one is Spruce.
The Koa came with 13s strings on.. @sunsethunter said, that's hardcore.. 😂🤣
I dare say, that adds to the fuller sound, but I'll go back to lighter strings, even that my fingers got used to them now...
Picking and such like is very hard, literally.. haha

If you knew my method you wouldn't believe me 😅; I don't know if there is a way to better manage the comments and their answers, I think there is, because mipiano mentioned me about it, however I only see notification by notification and I save each comment in bookmarks, so I don't forget any and I answer as soon as I can, just like when I am mentioned in videos....
