Lockdown life in England 英格蘭封城的日子
Ever since UK started lockdown two weeks ago on 5th November, I've been posting updates on my Facebook page every day. Yes, I still use it, as it's a way to keep my friends, families and fans (yes, I've raked in a few, if not many over the years) on what I'm up to. Here's a summary of my lockdown life over the last two weeks, for anyone who's interested....

收到朋友從台灣寄來
Made in Taiwan 愛心口罩
記得2月初台灣已爆發肺炎
當時鬧口罩慌要配額限售
我這個旅居者當然買不到
幸有幾位當地朋友雪中送炭
這就是其中一位
台灣控制肺炎成績有目共睹
看來英國也應借鏡
Received a box of Made in Taiwan masks from a friend in Taiwan
Covid had already blown up in Taiwan back in February
Masks had to be rationed and of course I couldn't get my hands on any
A few local friends gave me some despite being short themselves
This is one of those friends
Taiwan's effort and result in containing Covid is one of the, if not the best in the world
UK has a lot it can look learn from them

自從疫情開始，這條街已封了一半，方便行人社交距離。這次封城，改了用大花盆， 彷如大大聲在喊 "我們封城了! "
Since Covid started half of this street was cordoned off for social distancing. During this lockdown, big planters have been placed as if shouting out loud "We're in lockdown! "

特別的 hot water crust 外皮
包著絞肉再注入肉凍去烤
夏天野餐經常會見到
冬天午餐加熱吃很棒
Someone said it's been ages since they had pork pies
It's a traditional English food
Crunchy hot water crust pastry
Filled with chopped pork and pork jelly stock
It's often seen at summer picnics
And makes a great winter lunch eaten hot

Fake valentines day
Did a gift exchange with an American friend i met online
One of the items is a set of Uno cards
Perfect for the two of us during lockdown

Yay, the Bok choi and Uno Flip were part of your lockdown days. The bok choy looks awesome!
These bok choi are from my last batch they grow really slow in winter. I haven't got round to plant your seeds yet as I didn't want to waste them in case they can't adapt to the cold weather. But the Uno makes a nice change to the computer and mobile phone when I managed to pull hubby away from his devices!

This one's from our locked down time in UK--woulda been around April. Yes, it makes a huge difference.

I remember there was a period of time we had flooding around, that looks pretty awful. Having said that, the location of those block of houses looks interesting
Nice update on how things are going. Maybe its because its early morning and I haven't eaten yet but that English breakfast looks amazing to me. I haven't had a breakfast like that in a long time. Too long. If I did a post about my lockdown experience it would be quite boring. "Here is the chair where I read my books and here is the desk where I write." Back to the chair, back to the desk... and so on endlessly. Lol
Look on the bright side, when you can't travel around the world, travelling around the house isn't that bad! You never know you might discover an interesting corner or window view you never paid attention to!!!
This covid thing has really changed our life's here in Australia same has happened lockdowns again so damn annoying and money lost but that's life at the moment and nothing we can do about it but you seem to be doing ok keeping busy and i love your English big breakfast yummy 😱
It's totally turned all of our lives around, so might as well make the most of it and keep ourselves entertained!

We are in lockdown too, and it's really horrible. I was actually thinking about you when you were getting ready the gifts for Christmas while I have nothing prepared and I'm scared I won't be able to get out shopping :(
How often are you guys allowed out? We're not actually restricted to go out, just that most of the shops are closed anyway. I find walking around in the £ shop and looking at all rubbish they sell so fascinating now, sad state of life 😀
We are not allowed at all. We need to write a declaration on our own responsability if we go out and only if it's something urgent, like medicine or such things.. it's really bad :(
Wow! But surely you can go out for groceries right?
Oh yes. But not too often. Maybe once per week or every two weeks. Anyway I try to avoid any type of contact with people, even going to shop for food..
It's like you are upgrading your lockdown.... Taiwan rocks for so many reasons 我也应该学一下繁体字！
Gotta keep ourselves entertained!!! 慢慢來!
