Hive Top Chef! Dough

I bake my own bread, and I think that I make the tastiest bread... well, everyone who has tasted my bread says it is.

Here's a simplified overview of how I make sliced bread!

First, activate the yeast in warm milk and sugar. When the yeast has bloomed, the eggs and melted butter are stirred into the same cup...

The milk-yeast-butter-egg mixture is added to the bowl that has the flour, salt, and sugar, then mixed.

The bowl is covered with plastic wrap or a towel, then placed in a warm place. I put mine it in a cool oven with the lights on until it has doubled in size.

When the dough has risen and doubled its size, I punch the dough (my hands are oiled) to release the gases trapped in the dough.

Then turn the dough onto the board and knead. I use my fist!

The dough in two portions, then roll each one (like a blanket), and put them into two greased loaf pans.

Then, the dough is made to rise a second time until they has doubled in size.

It is ready to be baked in a preheated oven. The bread is done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clear. I use a thermometer to check for doneness.

When done, the top of the bread is buttered to keep the crust soft, and then cooled on a rack.

Bread is ready for slicing when it is totally cooled.

I use a bread slicing board made of bamboo.

YUM!

I store my Sliced Bread in plastic bread keepers.

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp Yeast, 1 Tbsp Sugar, 1 1/2 cups Milk 2 Eggs 3 Tbsp melted Butter 6 to 6 1/2 cups Bread Flour 1 cup Sugar 1 tsp Salt

This is my entry to this week's Qurator Hive Top Chef.

That looks so golden delicious and an easy to follow recipe, detrimental to me being anywhere bread is being baked, can never not have it!

Placing butter on top before cooling a trick I have never heard previously!

Hehehe!
It is really easy, @joanstewart. What takes long is making it rise.
But if you know how to manage your time (and be waiting for it), it takes no time at all!
I bake two loaves of bread, a batch of rolls, and an artisan bread in no time!
My bread is always fresh. YUM!!!
And thank you for checking this out!

Nothing beats the smell/taste of fresh bake, enough to keep friends happy to visit.

Friends are not as often visiting, unlike ore-Covid times. But when they do come, I always prepare something that makes the house smell good as well!!!

They say you can sell a house with the smell of coffee brewing and cookies baking,... Bring friends in for sure!

The time and effort are well worth it!
Yes, nothing beats homemade bread, and I always used butter!
Let me try it without butter!
You're the second person who doesn't use butter on top, hehehe!

Awww... with the availability of bread, it almost is a no brainer to just buy it!
But it has never been in my budget to buy bread. And I guess it's a habit so hard to kick.
Besides, it relaxes me!

Hugs and Kisses 🥰🌺🤙!!

Lol! My older son is so bored that he is making Sourdough bread. This pandemic has so put his career on pause/hold that I worry about him when he does any baking. The results are not that bad either.

Always, with Love 🤗🌺❤️

It's great that he knows how to make bread at an early age!
This skill is something that is mostly taught by mothers to their children.
Did you teach them? You must be proud of him!

Hugs and Kisses 🥰🌺🤙!!!
