When Food Prices Rise!

Poorer families spend more than half of their wages on food. Already these families have very little money left for things like housing, clothes or school. When food prices rise, these families experience the effects much more quickly.

@oadissin shares some sad, but true, facts about poverty and how the always rising price of food can be detrimental to families living in the poverty level of income.

Poverty often leads to malnutrition. People cannot buy the food they need to keep their bodies healthy. In general poorer families eat less food. Less food means less energy for normal activities

Viscum Album And Loranthus Europaeus

A few weeks ago I came across the Viscum album , epiphytic hemiparasitic plant that we all know for its auspicious symbolism
Very often I happen to see Loranthus europaeus , which distrusts the size and color of the fruit, but above all from the fact that it is deciduous. Precisely for this reason I managed to identify the viscum during these winter months, noting from a distance the classic bushy shape, this is because it is an evergreen

Meadows Full Of Crocuses

I am in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany with my girlfriend over the weekend.
Tonight it goes to the NAPALM DEATH concert in Oberhausen in the cult temple... Freu Freu Freu
It's beautiful weather here today and I was just walking for 1 hour.
And I saw meadows full of crocuses. Check out the wonderful flowers

Crocuses are sometimes overlooked when you think of beautiful and delicate flowers. But in this post @bitandi shares some they found while on a recent walk.
