January Witness Chat Recording

I was pleased to welcome @elipowell and @justinw from the Steemit team. Several witnesses also took part in the discussions

We led off with the Steemit team giving us some updates on what has been happening with them. Of course the biggest topics of discussion were the upcoming Communities and SMT both of which are in beta and testnet respectively

Steem- We Saved The Support Line At 0.155$

As I was saying yesterday, the break of the support line at 0.155$ was not yet confirmed and we had good news today as we went back upper than that support line. We just did a pull back on it now and so the important is to see now if we will have a bounce from that line to confirm that we saved that support of if we will break it again and accelerate the correction

We've been seeing the price of steem hovering at near record lows over the last year, so having it stand at this price; without dropping more, could be a sign of what exactly?Check out the charts that @crytopassion is sharing.

4 Week Power Down Summary tldnr

Last month there was the suggestion by @thecryptodrive from the @buildteam to reduce the powerdown time from 13 weeks to 4 weeks
I have been reading a lot of posts on the topic and thought do make an overall recap for those that have not followed or those that just want a handy summary
