Qurator's Monday Missions | Crazy Cool - Tokay Gecko's.

Over the weekend I was looking through my archive to see what crazy cool photos I had buried in this messed up archive after scanning through a few albums I came across these pair of Tokay Gecko's in Thailand they are called "Tuk-kae Ban" and are very popular in Thailand and is where I saw these crazy cool pair of Tokay Gecko's as we were relaxing by the pool at our resort these couple of fellas appeared from out of the roof just staring down at us at first they gave us a bit of a fright in the way they were looking down at us with there luminous eyes like a couple of little reptiles ready to pounce down on us but no luckily this didn't happen thank God.

I had only been use to seeing the average small Gecko's while i was holidaying on the island of Koh Samui which are harmless and actually good to have them in your room as they would eat up the mosquitoes and this was a good thing but these Tokay Gecko's are known to be a little more aggressive they have teeth and if bitten by one can be quite painful but not poisonous.

Even though i knew they could pounce down on me at any second it didn't stop me from blinding them with my smartphone camera flash clicking away and trying to keep a eye on them just in case of any sudden movement. These Tokay Gecko's can grow up to lengths of about 14 inches (40cm) and weighing 8 to 12 ounces (220 grams to 350 grams) I would say these two guys were not far of that length. Their main diet is insects, rodents, smaller geckos and small snakes.

After I finished flashing away at them getting a few photos, it turned into a staring match challenge but after a little while they gave up they said a few words to each other like maybe we should get the hell out of here now before these Australia's throw us on the barbecue but for me it was really cool seeing these crazy cool Tokay Gecko's for the first time they were quite cute I thought.

The geckos are cute but I wouldn’t want them to jump down on my head. :) Neat capture of them.
