Imagine being a regular troll on twitter and always having a fun time swearing and cussing away at people for hours while wearing an anonymous identity, you assume the perfect image of a very bitter intellectual whose takes and insulting jabbs are so condescending that people literally avoid any discord with you or your opinion.

In all sincerity, you mean no harm and you're merely just having fun. One night, you flip open your computer screen, a tweet triggers you, apparently, you've had a reply to that type of tweet for hours and were merely only waiting for the right time and scape goat to pounce on.

You put on your trolling cap and jump at the tweet, your reply is so savage that the owner of the tweet deleted his account, you're fully satisfied, you feel a sense of accomplishment, with a wide grin on your face you drool off into bed, only that instead of you waking up in your bed, you wake up in a kidnappers den, apparently the person you spent the night trolling is a psychopath and a criminal and is going to deal with you in ways you've never imagined. This scenario was quite similar to the story line in Guns Akimbo.

This movie reminds me of a saying that goes "Freedom of Speech is allowed, but Freedom after Speech is not guaranteed"! Because that's exactly the situation described in this movie, trolling can be all funny and witty, but what happens when a troll is caught? And the person being trolled is a psycho in real life, even worse, a murderer?

But aren't we all just having some internet fun? As a matter of fact we are, which is why it only makes sense for a troll to be as anonymous as possible, just to avoid stories that touch. Daniel Radcliffe played the role of the internet troll that got into trouble, it was quite unfortunate for him that even anonymity couldn't save his ass.

The movie is a 2019 New Zealand action comedy film written and directed by Jason Lei Howden. It stars Daniel Radcliffe, Samara Weaving, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ned Dennehy, Grant Bowler, Edwin Wright, and Rhys Darby. You know all those movies where someone is running an illegal game on the internet and people are made to kill themselves for the entertainment of other people in real life? Exactly! That was the kind of situation Daniel Radcliffe found himself, he was transformed from a game developer geek internet troll to a famous killing machine. The movie tried to be serious but I couldn't help but find the very awkward situation and what transpired after funny.

If you want to find this movie interesting, I implore you not to expect anything serious, the movie is 70% joke and 30% acting, infact if the actor had been somebody other than Daniel Radcliffe, the movie would have been an eye sore. Daniel Radcliffe just has a way of pulling off a depressed scruffy personality which turned out to be a useful skill in this movie.

I have never heard of this before but I'm definitely going to look for it now. Daniel Radcliff can be hit or miss but your review makes it sound very interesting. Especially right now when we are all playing the twitter game with "He who shall not be named," of the tron blockchain.
