THE UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE IN PORT HARCOURT

Although, this picture was not taken with my current phone because I did not have a phone when this incident occurred but it was taken using a friend of mine's phone.

It was taken two years ago year 2018 at Port Harcourt, Abuloma precisely when our church had a program and we left Akwa Ibom State for Port Harcourt.

One negative thing that stands out in most laborers is that they are actually after the money they can earn and not after the good services they can give to their customers and this has always destroyed so many of the businesses and fortunately, our bus that took us to and fro Port Harcourt was not left out in this havoc.

The trip down to Port Harcourt was a safe one but coming back to Akwa Ibom State became a nightmare many of us were not willing to experience.

After the final day of the program, we all got prepared while trying to pack our things into the bus, the driver left us telling us he has to go and re-check, fill and replace the tire because the journey back is always hectic and that was because Port Harcourt road has a bad road which always caused traffic congestion making so many people sleep in the bus till the next day.

He came back and we all got on the bus and when we came to that point, he decided to use another road so we don't end up sleeping on the road till the next day.

On an unknown road, our bus which was checked before we left the program ground developed an issue which needed a mechanic to come and repair but fortunately for us, we could not find any around.

Many drivers who saw us stranded in such a place felt pity for us and they were telling us that the road isn't a safe place as robbery attacks and the rest of the road incidents/accidents that we can think about usually occur here. That we could be in danger on such a road.

This kept us scared and worried at the same time as we began to ask the driver why the car is developing fault when he told us he went to repair the bus so we could have a smooth ride back home.

In the process of checking what caused the breakdown and what could have developed a fault, it came to the knowledge of the driver that the mechanic he paid to repair the bus did not do what he was asked to do, or perhaps he did the wrong thing entirely or maybe he didn't understand what driver had asked him to repair.

These got many of us worried but fortunately for us, a good Samaritan who knew how to repair cars came by and helped us in fixing the car.

Many people have been faced with such a problem after repairing their vehicle only to encounter the same problem they paid the mechanic to fix for them.

This got me so annoyed that I kept wondering why on earth any human would love to do such a thing to a human-like them.

The solution always comes as a magical plan from heaven, so a good Samaritan came and helped with the breakdown, I think so, good things happen to good people.

You are right, I can not imagine being stuck in such a place where there are no houses.

I'm a mechanic, a good one, and it's unfortunate, but there are many like you mention. It's a pity that they have fallen into the hands of one.

Well, as I said, there are the good ones and there are the bad ones. Not all of them are both bad and yeah, we most times fall into the bad hands to learn to be conscious and attentive. If the drive had those two things, he would have realized earlier enough that the mechanic did not do the right thing.
