BAYERN-PSG SET UP A THRILLING UCL FINAL.
Bayern Munich of the Bundesliga will take on Paris St-Germain of Ligue 1 in the final of 2019-20 revamped UEFA Champions League. Both sides recorded an identical 3 nil win over their semifinal opponents(Lyon & RB Leipzig) to book the Lisbon final.
The final pitched 2 of European best frontlines against each other with the likes of Lewandowski, Muller, Gnabry squaring up against Neymar, Mbappe, Icardi in what promises to be an end to end encounter at The Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal.
Bayern will aim to complete a tremble having scored 100 goals to claim their 30th Bundesliga title before also claiming the German Cup. Like their German opponent, PSG would seek to complete a season's quadruple having already bagged domestic tremble. Scoring 75 goals on their way to securing Ligue 1 and then claiming Coupe de France and Trophée des Champions.

It was Bayern Munich 10th straight win in the competition as they march towards an 11th UEFA Champions League Final. Bayern followed up an impressive 8-2 quarterfinal win over Barca as they breezed past Ligue 1 side Lyon 3 nil in the semifinal on Wednesday night. Serge Gnabry(18', 33') and Robert Lewandowski(88') putting the French side to the dagger.
Lyon would rue early missed chances when Memphis Depay running clean on Bayern goal, fired wide and teammate Karl Toko Ekambi struck the upright when he could have done better from close range after cutting in from the right. Soon after, Bayern took control, scored the opener and never looked back.
PSG A MATCH FROM HISTORY
Neymar-Di Maria-Mbappe-Icardi
PSG also recorded an easy 3 nil win over German side RB Leipzig on Tuesday night in their semifinal tie. Marquinhos(13') had dead the Parisians ahead earlier on before quick combination between Neymar and Angel di María(42') resulted in the later's goal as the 1st half break drew near.
Juan Bernat(56') completed PSG's dominance with the 3rd goal earlier in the 2nd half. PSG now faces another German side Bayern Munich in the final, their 1st UEFA Champions League final ever. The Parisians have now best their semifinal record of 25 years ago, it could be recalled that PSG was beaten 3 nil in the semifinal by AC Milan in 1995.
Bayern vs PSG
Both teams were grouped together in Group B of the 2017-18 UCL. It was a home win for either side on that occasion as PSG(3-0) emerged as Group B winner ahead of runner up Bayern(3-1)
A win for Bayern would see them claim their 6th Champions League title in 11 finals while it would be PSG's 1st ever UCL title in 1st ever final if they upstage Bayern in the final.
Tricky tie, however, Bayern's form gives them a slight edge over PSG. Nevertheless, Neymar-Mbappe combo would always be an unstoppable force.
