Analysis Of The Most Valuable Players In The World 2020

(Edited)

The CIES Football Observatory have released the list of the most valuable players in the world. The list was quite interesting to view. The top 5 players are very young, with the oldest only 25 years of age. The value of the players are quite expensive I must say. They are young players and haven't proven themselves over the years. Sancho is third most valuable player on the list with a whopping €179.1m. Is he worth that price tag? Hell NO. He's only 20 years of age, he's too young and inexperienced to be valued that much, if you are in doubt, kindly comment your reasons in the comment section, let's interact and learn from each other. Below are the top 5 most valuable players in the world.

Kylian Mbappe

Congrats to Kylian Mbappe for becoming the most valuable player in the world. Is he worthy to be the most valuable player? Absolutely, he is worthy. Is he worthy of the price tag. No, the amount is too much. Don't get me wrong, Kylian Mbappe is a fantastic player and should be the most valuable player in the world, but not for that amount. Maybe I'm still in the past, when the most valuable player was Ronaldo, and he was worth €80m. Kylian Mbappe is a brilliant player and has proven himself over time, I'm glad he is currently the most valuable player in the world.

Raheem Sterling

I was surprised to see Raheem Sterling in this list. Raheem Sterling is an excellent player but to be the second most valuable player in the world came as shock. But seeing him there, I can't complain. He's proven himself over the years and has been consistent. I was shocked when I heard he was receiving a massive €300k per week, he's a kinda of low-key big money player. Great to see him at the second spot of the current most valuable player in the world list.

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho, the player every big club wants to sign in the summer. Is he worth the price tag? Hell NO. Is he worth been among the top most valuable players in the world? Hell NO. He's way too young to be valued and hyped this much. He's currently playing in least league in the top 5 big leagues in Europe(I mean no disrespect to the German League). Has he proven himself in England's jersey, No. So what are the criteria for valuing him this high? He is very lucky to have gotten this much attention so early in his career. I will pick Haaland ahead of him, because Haaland has proven himself a bit, by leaving his club in a different country and coming to a new club in the winter transfer and scoring most goals in less games, that's talent and that's value. For me, I don't think Jadon Sancho would be in this list, what do you think?

Trent Alexander-Arnold

I'm a huge fan of Trent Alexander-Arnold and I'm Manchester United fan, so you can imagine how good he is for me to like that well. Trent Alexander-Arnold was very vital to Liverpool winning the Champions League last season and to Liverpool current league form, with a whopping assists with is over 11 so far. He is super talented, hence, should be valued highly. Although, he's price tag is too much for him, maybe I'm still in the past, but that's too much. I'm glad he's among the current top 5 most valuable players in the world.

Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford is a quality player and has proven himself over the years. He's played over 4 seasons in the English Premier League, that's quite a lot for a 22 years old. He's a future player, a player big teams wants to have in their team. He's fast, strong, aggressive and got a rocket shot ability. I'm surprised Sancho is ahead of him. He's scored stunners for both club and country. He's the reason Manchester United is still in the race for top 4 in the Premier League. I would have picked him to be the second most valuable player. He's young and has proven himself in the highest level. Scoring that lost time penalty against PSG, just prove how big a player he can be. He has the attributes of the next Cristiano Ronaldo, hence, he should have been valued more. But I'm still glad he made it to the list of the current top 5 most valuable players in the world.

That’s quite a gap between 1st & 2nd. No doubt that Mbappe is a quality player but I’d like to see him play in a more competitive league week in week out.

Agree about Sancho, there’s no way he’s the 3rd most valuable player in the world by any measure you can think of!
