RE: A flawless victory for the REDS against Leicester: My thoughts

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Liverpool FC have played 64 games unbeaten at Anfield so far

I think you were referring to Premier League games only because they (LFC) were beaten by Atletico Madrid in the Quarterfinal of the Champions League before the Covid lockdown started.

Tottenham, Chelsea, and even Everton are showing great signs of competitiveness in the League. I can say Premier League is the best league this year.

That's very correct, the home unbeaten run is in the Premier League only. Also, the Premier League has always been the most competitive league.

the Premier League has always been the most competitive league.

I beg to disagree? La Liga has been a consistent country where it plays the most competitive season. Though Premier League has always been the number one in terms of viewership, it has been La Liga for a number of years for me.

The English Premier is more competitive than La Liga. My points:

there is no one club dominance in the EPL like we see in La Liga. In La Liga, one can closely predict who would win the league from the start but not so in EPL. In La Liga, everyone knows that if it is not Barcelona or Real madrid then it is Atletico Madrid that would be champions. Look at the 10 years stat for the title winners, it is more of a rotation of two to three clubs (FCB, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid).

But in the Premier League, there is no such dominance. Every team is a title contender! You can barely predict who the champions would be.

Also, if La Liga is that competitive, why then does the EPL have more viewership?
