EPL MATCHDAY 28 ANALYSIS: Chelsea vs Everton. Can the Blues' unbeaten run survive an in form Toffees' scare?

Yesterday, it was Manchester City and Manchester United who put their unbeaten run on the line as they took on each other in the Manchester Derby, however, it was the former who saw their run shattered.

Today, it is the Blues who put their 10 matches unbeaten run under Thomas Tuchel on the line as they take on an in form Everton.

Another huge match you want to say with the top 4 position also at stake as a win for the Blues, who sit in 4th position, will move them 4 points ahead of the Toffees, whilst a lose will see the latter move above the former to 4th position with 2 points and a game at hand.

I believe you now know how vital one of the 2 last games for Matchday 28 going down today is.

With the above well said, let's proceed on to the analysis, shall we?

Starting off with the home team.

CHELSEA:

  1. Definitely, one stat that seems to favor the Blues is their unbeaten run of 10 games since Thomas Tuchel took charge as manager.
This run which have seen them see off the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Athletico Madrid, and of recent, Liverpool can be credited to nothing other than the Blues impressive style of play.
You definitely don't want to go against a team whose lineup is unpredictable, and also excellent at keeping possession of the ball with huge link up plays.
This is a test Ancelotti's men might find difficult to pass.
  2. The Blues dominance over the Toffees at the Bridge in their last 4 encounters is also a huge stat to consider in favor of the former.
A massive 3 wins and 1 draw in these last 4 encounters will definitely provide some huge boost for the Blues going into this game.

Okay then, let's move to the Toffees.

EVERTON:

  1. The Toffees impressive run of 3 straight wins in as many games is definitely 1 thing the Blues will want to worry about.
We all know how difficult the Toffees could be when they are on a good run of play, and this is what the Blues will be going against as they take on them today.
  2. Another stat that favors the Toffees is their better "head to head" In the last 5 games between these 2 sides.
The Toffees have won 3, drawn 1, and lost just 1 of these 5 encounters.
Another huge boost for Carlos Ancelotti's men don't you think?

CONCLUSION
The Blues seem likelier of the 2 sides to get all 3 points if we are to consider the stats above.
However, the Toffees still have some chances of springing a suprise of their own.

As always, your takes, predictions, and predictions as regards this game will be hugely appreciated.

Much love from your Football Analyst and Writer, IbkDaGreat.

Although I really do not have much to say about the Everton team but considering the analysis you've penned down, I can say the blues are in for hot soup and really gat to be prepared for this match if they want the Everton team to stop trailing them.

If they are good, they willl move but if they play without good thinking I bet the Everton will take the fourth position from them. I still wish to bet that the blues will do a great job today but like I always say, let's keep our fingers crossed as the game of football is an unpredictable game most especially as the premier League is getting tougher and tighter by the day with different teams fighting for the first four position, we just have to wait and see what becomes of the team at the end of the day.
