EPL Matchday 25 continues with 4 more scintillating and mouthwatering games going down today as Southampton take on Chelsea at the Saint Mary's Stadium, Burnley host West Bromwish Albion at Turf Moor, Fulham welcome Sheffield United to Craven Cottage, and the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield. What makes these games more captivating is the fact that teams in the top half of the EPL face off against each other with the aim of gaining more grounds with the same scenario repeating itself for teams in the bottom half of the table.

But of all these games, 2 will definitely be catching the attention of EPL football lovers all over the globe with 1 been the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton, and the other, the game between the Saints and the Blues. Well, since I can only choose 1 game for my analysis, I will be going for the latter as many football viewers will want to see if Thomas Tuchel's in form Chelsea can continue their impressive run of games.

SOUTHAMPTON:
Although the Saints are currently on an unimpressive run of 5 EPL games without a win, they still be a bit confident of getting something going into this game based on the 2 stats, with the first been more of a funny fact:

  1. Chelsea's losses to Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers who were absolutely below par were nothing less of stunning as the Blues were in some great form at the time those games were played. Southampton would be hoping to see this scenario repeat itself in their favor, and how bettee can they get this if not on their, Southampton, own playing ground.
  2. The Saints are unbeaten in their last 2 games agjngs the Blues, they will most likely be hoping to see this extend to 3 don't you think?

However, with the above well said in favour of Ralph Hasenhutti's men, most EPL footballer lovers all over the globe will still believe Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea are more likely to claim all 3 points which is nothing short of the truth. Let's take a look at some stats that favor the Blues getting a win.

CHELSEA:

  1. The Blues are currently on an impressive run of 7 games without suffering a single defeat, with the recent 6 of these 7 games been under their new manager, Thomas Tuchel. A new manager with an impressive dominanting style of play, you really don't want to face this team at this moment if your team isn't Manchester City.
  2. Another stat that favors the Blues getting a win is their superior "head to head" over the Saints in their last 8 matches which includes 5 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss. Although they are yet to get a win over the Saints in their last 2 games, this good record against Ralph Hasenhutti's men will definitely provide some boost for the Blues going into the game.

A draw is also not off the table aa long as this game is concerned, but a win for either team seems to be more pronounced if we are to look at both teams' recent performance. What we however don't know is if Southampton will be providing a stunner of a victory, or if it will be Chelsea who will be getting a routine win.

In all, we definitely should get some mouth watering displays across all 4 EPL games going down today.

Don't forget to share your takes and opinions on this game as well as any of the other 3 games. They will definitely be welcomed.

Much love from your Football Analyst and Writer, IbkDaGreat.
