The winners at the San Marino MotoGP at the Misano circuit

MotoGP 2020 will continue in the San Marino MotoGP at the Misano circuit, which was also the circuit of the late Marco Simoncelli. Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, that is the official name of the Misano circuit which will be the venue for the sixth and seventh MotoGP 2020 series races. First at the San Marino MotoGP on September 13, then the Emilia Romagna MotoGP a week later. The Misano circuit has regularly hosted the San Marino MotoGP series in the world grand prix motorbike racing championships since 2007.In 2012, the circuit was renamed in honor of Marco Simoncelli who died in Sepang in 2011.

Marco Simoncelli himself is a rider who was born in Cattolica, Rimini, Italy, on January 20, 1987. Well, the Misano circuit is in the province of Rimini which is part of Emilia-Romagna, a region located in northeast Italy. Since carrying the name Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, only Jorge Lorenzo has won successively at this circuit. He did that in a three-game winning streak from 2011-2013.

Since then, there has never been a rider in the primary class who has been able to successively climb the top podium in the MotoGP primary class in the race at Misano. Marc Marquez had three wins, but never in a row.

Tracing further since 2007 since the San Marino MotoGP was held at Misano, only Valentino Rossi has also won successive wins there. He did this in 2008 and 2009, on his way to becoming world champion in MotoGP in their respective seasons.
