Green Bird Grasshopper checking out my garden

I spotted several of these large grasshoppers around my yard. Schistocerca shoshone is a frequent visitor to vegetable patches but at least these guys didn't seem too interested in eating my plants right now.

Love the neat color pattern of its eyes

I'm glad that he was still enough for me to photograph with my smart phone.
