This page says that people thought the butterfly was extinct until they found a colony in a State Park.

They mention that the butterfly is under threat by an invasive species of iguana.

People tend to use the term "invasive" whenever they talk about a negative effect of a non-native species. A non-native iguana that eats an endangered butterfly would have to be called "invasive."

This leads to a complex debate about efforts to preserve species by relocating them because the endangered species might become an invasive species in the new habitat.
