Insects I like: Pyrrhocoris apterus

As I said last time - I do not like all insects. I especially don't like those without legs, and among those with legs there are many that I don't like.

So, let's start with the ones I like.

Let's take Pyrrhocoris apterus, for example.

Why do I like firebugs?

Because these bugs are harmless and do no harm to anyone.

They feed on the plant sap of some trees and grasses, but are mainly directed to the linden.

And they do not harm the plants.

In my native language, one of the names of this bug is used as a synonym for a good and harmless person, for a good man.

It is literally translated as "God's Little Cow".

And because I believe in folk wisdom more than any scientific explanation, I instinctively like these God's Little Cows much more than many other insects.
