I tell you that I have inquired about this grasshopper and have not found any specific information, since in a visit to a community I received a scare that would have made anyone run.

The sound that gave me such a scare is emitted by this wonderful and beautiful insect because of its colorful composition. A well-defined rattle sound that results from the vibration of its hind legs.

Looking very carefully around I found two of them, I guess the sound is part of the mating courtship. So I set out to photograph them.

All the images are my property and were taken with a Xiaomi 9 phone.

Les comento que he indagado sobre este saltamontes y no he encontrado información específica, ya que en una visita a una comunidad recibí un susto que a cualquiera hubiese hecho correr.

El sonido que me produjo tan susto lo emite este Insecto maravilloso y hermoso por su composición colorida. Un sonido de cascabel bien definido que resulta de la vibración de sus patas traseras.

Revisando con mucho cuidado los alrededores halle dos de ellos, supongo que el sonido forma parte del cortejo de apareamiento. Así que me dispuse a fotografiarlos.
