Dos hermosos Escarabajos Peloteros Pasaron la noche , rondando en mi apartamento, buscando por dónde entrar. Son tan fuertes que lograron derribar un pedacito de la tela que mantiene cerrada mi ventana. Tal vez huían de la fuerte lluvia. Asombrosamente para mí, eran de gran tamaño. Tenían alrededor de 0,5 cm de largo. De este ejemplar me impresionó mucho la cortina de pelos que tienen debajo de sus alas, para sujetarse

Two beautiful Dung Beetles spent the night, hovering around my apartment, looking for a way in. They are so strong that they managed to knock down a bit of the fabric that keeps my window closed. Maybe they were running from the heavy rain. Amazingly to me, they were large in size. They were about 0.5 cm long. I was very impressed by the curtain of hairs they have under their wings, to hold themselves in place.

Cuál no sería mi sorpresa, que cuando me voy hacia el balcón donde tengo mi plantas, los consigo muy cómodos; uno sobre una alfombra tomando los primeros rayos de sol mañanero, y el otro abrazando mi mata de orquídeas ocultándose bajo sus largas hojas. Ambos sin ningún temor. Por ello pude acercarme a tomarles las fotos y no se movieron. Se comportaron como excelentes modelos.

What would not be my surprise, that when I go to the balcony where I have my plants, I find them very comfortable; one on a carpet taking the first rays of morning sun, and the other hugging my orchid bush hiding under its long leaves. Both without any fear. So I was able to get close to take their pictures and they did not move. They behaved like excellent models.

Cuando estaba realizando esta otra toma, tuve la sensación de que se caería, por la posición en que estaba y la altura, pues vivo en el último piso, como lo pueden ver. Lo triste para mi fue, que no me atreví a voltearlo para ver su cara. Allí quedaron y pasaron todo el día en esos mismos sitios. Llegó la noche y en un descuido mío, se marcharon. Esa visita fue extraña pero me encantó. Aunque a mi balcón llega todo tipo de insectos, porque el faro del edificio está muy cerca.

When I was taking this other shot, I had the feeling that he would fall, because of the position he was in and the height, as I live on the top floor, as you can see. The sad thing for me was that I didn't dare to turn him over to see his face. They stayed there and spent the whole day in the same places. Night came and in an oversight of mine, they left. That visit was strange but I loved it. Although all kinds of insects come to my balcony, because the lighthouse of the building is very close.
