Today I was in bad mood. Only a few minutes before my car had overheated when I was driving home. After calming down a bit, I went out with my niece to the yard and saw that the orchids had bloomed. So I told her to smell them and photograph them.

Hoy estaba sin mucho ánimo. Solo minutos antes me había quedado accidentado cuando manejaba de regreso a casa. Luego de calmarme un poco, salí junto con mi sobrina hacia el patio y vi que las orquídeas habían florecido. Así que le dije para olerlas y fotografiarlas.

You can feel that it is the month of May which always compliments the beauty of nature.

Se nota que es el mes de mayo que siempre cumple con la belleza de la naturaleza.

I went out with my phone to take pictures of the beautiful flowers. I took my new Poco M3 cell phone and wanted to do macro photography of the yellow part of the orchids. When I did it I didn't like the result. It is very saturated and the lens loses luminosity.

Salí con mi teléfono para tomarles fotos a las hermosas flores. Tomé mi nuevo celular Poco M3 y quise hacer fotografía macro de la parte amarilla de las orquídeas. Cuando lo hice no me gustó el resultado. Es muy saturado el procesado y el lente pierde luminosidad.

Just when I was clicking, I realize that there is an insect, similar to a Chipo, hidden among the petals. I was a little scared because I carried my niece to smell the fragrance of the orchids.

Justo cuando iba a hacer click, me doy cuenta que hay un insecto, parecido a un Chipo, oculto entre los pétalos. Me dio algo de miedo porque cargué a mi sobrina para que oliera la fragancia de las orquídeas.

Then, I decided to look for my old Samsung S6 phone, to see if I could get better pictures and well, it is evident that its lens is very good, despite being such an old model. What I did this time was to zoom in almost 3X to get as close as I could without pixelating the image.

Luego, decidí buscar mi viejo teléfono Samsung S6, para ver si lograba mejores fotos y bueno, es evidente que su lente es muy bueno, pese a ser un modelo tan viejo. Lo que hice en esta oportunidad fue hacer un zoom de casi 3X para acercarme lo más que pudiera sin que se pixelara la imagen.

At first I was taking the pictures without flash, for two reasons. The first was that the initial photos didn't require it. The second was that I thought that by getting closer, perhaps, the light might blow the insect away.

Al principio estaba tomando las fotos sin flash, porque dos motivos. La primera era que las primeras fotos no lo requerían. La segunda era que pensé que al acercarme, quizá, la luz podría hacer volar al insecto.

It happened that the supposed Chipo was very docile, I was photographing it for 10 minutes and the close up shots were taken with the flash of the phone.

Sucedió que el supuesto chipo era muy dócil, estuve fotografiándolo por 10 minutos y las tomas cercanas las realicé con el flash del teléfono.

When I saw each of the images I knew I had achieved a great result. Unlike the Xiaomi, the Samsung S6 takes very flat photos without much saturation, but this is better, because it gets incredible details. Also in processing we can get more information, then we can adjust the intensity and other parameters according to our need.

Al ver cada una de las imágenes supe que había logrado un genial resultado. A diferencia del Xiaomi, el Samsung S6 realiza fotos muy planas y sin mucha saturación, pero esto resulta mejor, porque consigue detalles increíbles. Además en el revelado podemos obtener mayor información, luego podemos ajustar la intensidad y otros parámetros según nuestra necesidad.

I hadn't taken pictures with my Samsung for a long time. In fact, I had even discarded it, but I realized that with the flash the macro photos turn out brutal. I had also forgotten that the S6 is less than half the weight of the M3 (178 gr).

Tenía tiempo sin tomar fotos con mi Samsung. De hecho, hasta lo había descartado, pero me di cuenta que con el flash las fotos macros resultan brutales. También había olvidado que el S6 pesa menos de la mitad que lo que pesa el M3 (178 gr)

The pseudo chipo, I don't really know what insect it is, was very cooperative when modeling. It was slowly shifting positions until it made very attractive poses.

El pseudo Chipo, en realidad no sé qué insecto es, cooperó mucho cuando modelaba. Fue cambiando lentamente de posición hasta lograr poses muy atractivas.

The light at that moment, almost noon, also insisted that the images were sharper, as the sun was perfectly above us.

La luz de ese momento, casi mediodía, también insidió en que las imágenes fueran más nítidas, ya que el sol estaba perfectamente arriba de nosotros.

Honestly, it had been a while since I had taken pictures of this style that fascinated me so much, I have taken a second breath to continue doing this kind of photography.

Sinceramente tenía tiempo sin tomar fotos de este estilo que me fascinaran tanto, he agarrado un segundo aliento para seguir realizando este tipo de fotografía.

I don't even know which one I like the most because they all have their magic and balance. Besides, the combination of colors between the lilac tones and the green and yellow color, always generates a pleasant sensation to the eye.

No sé ni siquiera elegir la que más me gusta porque todas tienen su magia y balance. Además, la combinación de colores entre los tonos lilas y el color verde y el amarillo, siempre genera una sensación agradable a la vista.
