Speckled Bush Cricket
Those are not my favourite creatures. But the will to take some photos is bigger than my fear. And as long as they are not planning to attack me and eat me alive with their sharp teeth (they all have sharp teeth obviously), I will get as close as I can to them to take a few shots.
I found this little green one in a wild carrot flower somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
Leptophyes punctatissima
Or simpler Speckled bush-cricket. It can be found all over Europe in the warmer summer months. It will only live for about 9 months. Adults will die before the winter comes and only eggs laid in the fall will survive. In spring new generation will emerge and cycle will repeat.
I suspect I got a nymph form on the photos here. It means it is still not the final, mature stage.
The coolest part about them, besides green colours, are the little dots all over their bodies. Thus the name :)
Mature crickets can read 1,5 cm in length, not counting the super long antennas as those can be even longer than the body itself. Small buggers then :) And they do not fly, which makes them a little less creepy I guess.
Bonus shot:
On the very same walk I saw a cute little bee. I could hear her bussing around, but could not see anything at first. Super fast little thing! And then she sat on a grass for a second. I didn't even have time to set my camera properly for the bright location (why don't I shoot in auto... why??)
She looks like taken from a cartoon :)

Awesome macro shots! Without them, we wouldn't pay enough attention to the small livings which have such an important role in everyone's life 😄
Thanks :) You would if one of those started crawling on you 😂
Hahaha, fair enough! 🤣
