A FIVE - SHOT CATERPILLAR PORTRAIT - HYLES EUPHORBIAE
(Edited)
It's a short content day ... today for me...
... it's sunny again ... after a rainy week ... the insects are out again ... it looks like a bonus springtime of 2020 ...
... so I'll do this quick, five - shot post and continue with my outdoors activities.
This big, fat and colorful caterpillar ... is the caterpillar of the Spurge hawk-moth (Hyles euphorbiae) ...
... on old photographs taken in 2008.
And that's it ... as always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work.

Wow! Very fat one!! I think you helped this one to look colourful, You did paint more red dots on her body!! If you didn’t give her extra coating of paint, then you cats did it!
:D
Great pics!!! Wow ;)
Thanks :)
Fascinating!!
A beautiful caterpillar. You got its face, and its feet!
My granddaughter sent me the photo of a 'fuzzy' caterpillar she saw on her hike in Putnam County, New York yesterday. Not exotic but a bit of flora and fauna from autumnal USA :)
:) It's pretty exotic from the autumnal Mediterranean Europe point of view. Nice to meet this furry species.
(I just upvoted my own comment!!)
Looked it up. It seems to be the Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar, not exotic for this area, but interesting.

Looks very interesting ... and the adult moth has beautiful patterns on the wings. Never saw this species before.
