[Engl-Spa] My Happy Encounter with an Automeris/ Mi Feliz Encuentro con una Automeris/

Hello my dear Hive friends, lovers of nature and the fantastic creatures that inhabit it. I hope you are well and enjoying the goodness that a new day brings.

Today I am going to talk to you about an insect, one that I am passionate about: "The butterfly". Everyone who knows me knows of my fascination for these anthropods, because on more than one occasion, these enigmatic lepidoptera have been a source of inspiration for me, because watching them fly, elevates my spirit, provokes in me an immense sense of peace and joy. Their living wings are like a celestial song that lulls something divine, they are like flowers scattered in the wind by a celestial hand, they are like a materialized dream.

As my interest in them grew, my curiosity also increased and now I never cease to marvel and investigate their peculiarities. One of the things that has called my attention powerfully, is the beauty of the saturnids or nocturnal butterflies and how they have often been denigrated for having more opaque colors, even in some cultures for being nocturnal beings have starred in the most sinister superstitions, but let me tell you that all that is false; moths are impressive and beautiful insects for several reasons and today I will tell you about some of them, using as a reference point the photographs I took of one of these beauties at a friends house. Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive, amantes de la naturaleza y de los fantásticos seres que le habitan. Espero que se encuentre bien y disfrutando de las bondades que trae consigo un nuevo día.

Hoy voy a hablarles de un insecto, de uno que me apasiona: "La mariposa". Todo el que me conoce sabe de mi fascinación por estos antropodos, pues en más de una ocasión, estos enigmáticos lepidópteros han sido para mí fuente de inspiración, pues verlas volar, eleva mi espíritu, provoca en mí una inmensa sensación de paz y alegría. Sus alas vivas son como una canción celeste que arrulla algo divino, son como flores esparcidas al viento por una mano celeste, son, como un sueño materializado.

Al ir así creciendo mi interés en ellas, mi curiosidad también fue aumentando y ahora no dejo de maravillarme e investigar sobre sus peculiaridades. Una de las cosas que ha llamado poderosamente mi atención, es la belleza de las satúrnidos o mariposas nocturnas y cómo han sido muchas veces denigradas por tener colores más opacos, incluso en algunas culturas por ser seres nocturnos han protagonizado las más siniestras superticiones, pero déjenme decirles que todo eso es, falso; las mariposas nocturnas son insectos impresionantes y hermosos por varias razones y hoy les hablaré de algunas de ellas, usando como punto de referencia las fotografías que le tomé a una de estas bellezas al estar en casa de unos amigos. Looking at this image we can notice how by keeping its wings closed, the moth butterfly manages to camouflage itself perfectly in the undergrowth, it has both the shape and the color of a dry leaf and although opaque, its perfectly symmetrical wings, its prominent size, its elegant velvety coat, are a clear sign of beauty and charm🤗.

As she stands serenely taking in the sunlight she reminds us that although nocturnal, during the day they recharge her flight muscles and transform it into the energy she needs for her nocturnal adventures. It feeds on light, to cross the night Can you imagine anything more poetic?🤗

Al ver esta imagen podemos notar como al mantener sus alas cerradas, la mariposa nocturna logra camuflajearse perfectamente en la maleza, tiene tanto la forma como el color de una hoja seca y aunque opaca, sus alas perfectamente simétricas, su prominente tamaño, su elegante capa aterciopelada, son una clara muestra de belleza y encanto🤗

Al estar serenamente tomando la luz del sol nos recuerda que aunque nocturna, durante el día ellas recargan sus músculos de vuelo y lo transforma en la energía que necesita para sus aventuras nocturnas. Se nutre de luz, para cruzar la noche ¿Pueden imaginarse algo más poético?🤗

The following picture was taken after having caressed it gently with a leaf, looking for it to fly and delight us with all its splendor, indeed it did, it was beautiful to see it fly. Then as if posing for the cameras, this nocturnal butterfly spread its wings, showing us a kind of Machiavellian face, tell me if it doesn't look like a Gremlins? 🤭🤭🤭🤭 But this is its defense, when it feels intimidated it opens its beautiful wings, not to scare its possible predators; but to let them know by showing its bright colors, that it is of bad taste and that it is not worth the effort, quite intelligent I would say.😉

La siguiente fotografía fue tomada después de haberla acariciado suavemente con una hoja, buscando así que volara y nos deleitara con todo su esplendor, efectivamente lo hizo, fue hermoso verla volar. Después como si posara para las cámaras, está mariposa nocturna desplegó sus alas, mostrándonos una especie de rostro maquiavélico, ¿Díganme si no se parece a un Gremlins? 🤭🤭🤭🤭 Pero ésta es su defensa, al sentirse intimidada abre sus bellas alas, no para asustar a sus posibles predadores; pero sí para hacerles saber al mostrarle sus colores vivos, que es de mal sabor y que no vale la pena el esfuerzo, bastante inteligente diría yo.😉

Creo que las anteriores son, aunque pocas, razones de peso suficiente para enaltecer la belleza de las mariposas nocturnas y exponer que rivalizan sin lugar a dudas en candor con las maripositas diurnas que tanto amamos, pero no quiero despedirme sin contarles que, después de haberle realizado su sesión fotográfica a mi hermosa mariposa nocturna, procedí a buscar más información sobre la misma para saber con exactitud con cuál tipo de satúrnido me había topado, fue así como descubrí que esta hermosa joya de la naturaleza es nada más y nada menos que una Automeris descubierta en el año de 1819 por Jacob Hübner.
