Insect Macrophotography | Jewel Bugs (Scutelleridae)
Scutelleridae is a family of true bugs. They are commonly known as jewel bugs or metallic shield bugs due to their often brilliant coloration. They are also known as shield-backed bugs due to the enlargement of the thoracic scutellum into a continuous shield over the abdomen and wings.
As we know, there are very many species of beetles in this world. And what I found is one very beautiful beetle in my opinion. Yes, the color is more attractive than usual beetles.
Perhaps you have seen some beautiful beetles, and they are relatively uniform in color or have one color. However, this beetle has a color combination. It looks so pretty, I don't think it's an exaggeration to say this beetle is beautiful.
Are you curious about its beauty? let's see the photos below!
